The Stars Do Shine (They Shine For You)

It was Lauren's first day of high school.She had no idea who anybody was because she deciced to

attend a high school in a different district that offered more rigorous classes and programs.

She had pretty bad anxiety last year and hoped freshman year would be so great that she didn't

have to think about the past.After leaving her french class she was lost.She looked down at the

map of the school on her schedule causing her ray ban black eyeglasses to slide down her nose.

She made three circles around the same area trying to find her litterature class that ended up

being exactly to the left right next to her previous class.She sighed as she entered the class

looking up at the teacher and giving him a nervous smile.Her eyes scanned the room for place to sit.

She had to make up her mind and choose wisely but that was hard because she knew nobody.

She saw two girls sitting next to each other and decided to sit across from them.

(Because both had curly hair and she thought that was cool

so of course they would be a good match is what she thought)

"Is it okay if I sit here?" she asked eyeing both girls as her bag dropped from her shoulder.

One girl turned to the other and smiled with a smirk.

Then they both nodded.

Minutes later the bell rang and another girl took the spot to Lauren's right,completing

their table group of four.

The teacher handed them their syllabis and after a brief talk about how hard the year

would be he instructed them to get to know their group members.

The girl to Lauren's right,who she hadn't looked at yet was the first to speak up.

"I'am Camila." she said with a goofy yet cute smile.

Her head tilted and she gestured at Lauren who had to snap herself back to

reality because she was too busy taking in the girl's beauty.

"Oh I'm Lauren." she spoke and unconsciously ran her right hand through her hair with

a small smile.

"I'm Dinah but you already know that Mila."

the girl across from Lauren said as she did a small dance.

'I'm Normani but you know that." said the girl to Dinah's left hitting Dinah's shoulder

before she added,"And doesn't this teacher seem like he is going to be a pain in the ass?"

Which caused Camila to let out a small giggle and Lauren to nod.

Yes Camila was breathtakingly beautiful but she along with Dinah were the loud and hyper

ones of their group while Lauren was very shy at first.For the first weeks of school all

four of them had become friends and they had a groupchat that was first made for a project

but turned into a groupchat filled with talks of crushes,funny stories, and memes.With that,

Lauren knew her freshman year wouldn't be so bad at all.

As for Lauren and Camila, Lauren was more close to Normani and Camila more close to Dinah.

Which was understandable because Lauren grew to know how cocky Camila could be at times.Lauren
