Niall’s POV

College has finished and I graduated with a diploma for Sports Medicine and now that’s what I work as. I go around helping athletes that are injured. Marie didn’t get to start her job yet, she graduated with a nursing degree as well but due to our little girl being born we had other priorities. We named her Haylee Marie Horan because that’s what we agreed on. Marie and I are still together and madly in love. I want to take things to the next level, as in marriage, because like I’ve said before I don’t want to be with her for a temporary amount of time. I want to be with her forever. I plan to propose this weekend, because Haylee is going to my mom’s house for the weekend to visit and I want to take Marie some where special. I want to do something spontaneous. I plan to go parasailing and as we are up in the air over looking the ocean, a plane will come by with a Will you marry me? sign and she’ll look over to me and I’ll have the ring and hopefully I won’t drop it into the ocean but you never know because I’m a klutz. And if I do drop it in the ocean I imagine her covering her mouth with her hands, hiding her smile as she tries not to laugh because she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings. Then she’d lean over and kiss my cheek and whisper yes. I just love her, everything about her and I hate leaving her side at anytime because then I miss her too much. But all I can do is pray that she says yes.

Marie’s POV

I am so stressed out. I sit here with the baby all day long and wait for Niall to come home from work and I understand he has to work to put food on the table and believe me his job puts food on the table and does so much more. All I ask though is that when he comes home he could help out a little. But no, I just get a kiss on the cheek and a ‘How was your day babe?’ as he sits on the couch and asks what’s for dinner and luckily Haylee is in bed when he comes home and usually doesn’t wake up for the next 3 hours to be fed. I swear I’d kill Niall if Haylee were up and he didn’t help me but luckily that wasn’t the problem. “Ni, can you at least help me?” “With what darlin’?” “What do you mean with what? There’s a mountain if laundry to do, 600 dishes, and a whole house to clean!” “Babe, calm down it’s okay.” “No, Ni it’s not okay because I’m tired and I just want some help.” I sat on the floor with my head in my knees and sobbed, Niall leaned down and rubbed my back. “Shhh, c’mon I know what you need.” He helped me stand as he picked me up and carried me to the bathroom, carefully not to wake Haylee. He turned on the hot water and let it rise filling the whole bath. He then stripped me and then himself, kissing my neck here and there. He went into the bathtub and I went in behind him. I sat in-between him resting my head on his chest. “I’m sorry I freaked out like that.” I whispered and he rubbed my side. “It’s okay baby, it’s been a long day and you haven’t gotten much sleep, and I haven’t been much help. I’m sorry for that.” He replied and I just smiled. I got on my knees and straddled him. “I love you.” I said as I lightly planted a kiss on his lips. “I love you too, princess.” He kissed me back and then we started cleaning each other. Afterward, we got dressed and he carried me to our bed, tucking me in and planting a kiss on my forehead as he went downstairs. I wasn’t sure what he was doing because I fell asleep before he could come back.

The next morning I woke up, Niall had the day off. It was Friday and he had made me breakfast in bed. Haylee was going to Maura’s today and I’m sorry but I couldn’t wait, I needed a break. I went to take my plates downstairs as I had saw that Niall cleaned the whole downstairs, top to bottom, and had even did the laundry. He was standing in the kitchen and I ran up behind him and jumped into his arms cupping his head into my hands as I kissed him hard, and passionate. I pulled away, “I fucking love you so much, You know that right?” He bit his lip and nodded his head as he kissed me once more and put me to my feet. “Guess what we’re doing today?” Niall said and I shrugged my shoulder. “I don’t know what?” “It’s a surprise, but go put your bikini on.” “My bikini?” “Yes go do it!” Were we going to the beach? We haven’t really gotten to spend time together ever since Haylee was born she always will come first now. Our sex life though was still amazing and was actually very constant since Haylee was born, for some reason we can never keep our hands off of each other.

I got on my hot pink bikini and walked to the kitchen where Niall was waiting for me in his trunks. “Ya ready to go babe.” He said eyeing me up and down. “Yep!” “You look damn good by the way.” “Thanks babe so do you.” I said with a wink as he lead me to the car.

Niall’s POV

We arrived at the beach and my palms were sweaty; my whole body shaking. The ring was in my pocket and I just prayed she wouldn’t be able to tell. We put on our life vests and rode a banana boat out to a bigger boat which we would be parasailing on. She was so excited when she found out what we were doing. Her smile was so wide. I love seeing her smile, it means everything to me knowing that she’s happy. So far, everything is going as planned. We climb on to the bigger boat and that boat takes us a little farther into the ocean. We get strapped into the sail and we began to rise into the air. I’m so excited and so nervous. We finally make it all the way up and we just start enjoying the view until the plane goes past and she sees it. My heart stops. I’m so nervous. She reads it aloud and gasps when she looks down at the beautiful diamond ring I had picked for her. “Ni..” “Marie I love you so much, I don’t ever want to be without you. You mean everything to me, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, will you do me the honor and marry me?” Tears filled her eyes as she shook her head over and over. “A hundred times yes!” I placed the ring on her finger and put the box back in my pocket, relieved I didn’t drop it. I pulled her face to mine kissing her with the most passion that I ever had. Tears were welling in my eyes. Today, was officially the start of forever.
