Chpt 13

Chapter 13: Rayne

After leaving King in New Jersey, I used some of the money I stole from him to rent a car and drive to Brooklyn. "Living here won't be so bad." I thought to myself. My first priority is finding a nice comfortable apartment to live in. But before I do that, I need to call a good friend of mines to help me. I took out my custom made all gold Iphone 5S and called my best friend; she answered on the second ring. "Bitch!" She said, "Where the fuck have you been? I miss you boo." I laughed at her crazy ass. "I'm sorry girl. I been so busy and shit. Are you busy? We should chill today." I said driving down the highway. "You know I'm never too busy for my main bitch. Where do you want to meet up at?" She asked. I thought about it for a moment, "How about we go to the mall first? I need to get some new clothes. Then, you can help me find a new apartment."

"Sounds like a plan. Meet you there in 20 minutes?"

"Yeah sure."

"Aight. Lemme get some money from Jay and I'll be on my way."

I laughed. "See you soon."

"Raayynnneee!!" Myra screamed when she was me in the mall. She jumped on top of me still screaming in my ear. "I missed youuu!!"

"Please get off of me Myra!" I said laughing, "You're making a scene." Myra got down and rolled her eyes, "I don't give a fuck about these people. Because none of them gon say shit to me!" She said it loud enough so everybody who was looking can hear her. I grabbed her hand. "You are a mess." I said, "How have you been? Last time I heard from you, you were done fooling with dudes. So, who is this guy you're with now?"

"Me and Jay go way back, but I rather not talk about our past. It's a messy one. But to make the long story short, we are living happily together." Myra was all smiles and giggles. "You seem happy." I said. "I am girl, I am. But enough about me, what about you? I know you got a man." Myra said; we walked into Victoria Secrets together. "Actually, no, I don't." I said picking a piece of lingerie. "Are you serious?" Myra said staring at me. I pushed her away playfully. "Yes, I'm serious girl."

"Does that mean you haven't been getting the D?" I gave Myra the look. She threw her hands up, "Fine, you don't have to tell me." I grabbed another piece of lingerie. "Hmm, this is cute." I mumbled to myself. "So does that mean you been getting the P?" My face turned red with embarrassed. "Myra, shut up!" I threw the black corset lingerie at her. She was on the floor laughing. "I'm only kidding, but knowing you, you probably tried it. But seriously though, why don't you have a man?" I exhaled deeply, "There's somebody I want, but I can't have him. His heart is with somebody else." I thought about King. We ended things badly, but I had to get the fuck away from him. He was playing with me emotions, and I didn't like that shit. He probably doesn't want to see my anyway since I stole his money; about a million dollars to be exact. I already know he's mad as fuck, but he's the type of person who knows how to reimburse himself. After about another forty-five minutes of roaming through the mall, we decided to go to the food court. "I'm so hungry!" Myra said as her stomach grumbled. "What do you want to eat? My treat."

"Oh! In that case, I want everything in here." I rolled my eyes and we both decided on Panda Express. After we got our food, we sat down and ate. I looked around the food court and noticed a fine ass man with a bunch of bags in his hands. He was tall and lean, but I can see his muscles peeking out. He was wearing an YMCMB shirt with some fresh pair of J's on. He was gorgeous! "Daddy, I want McDonalds." A little girl tugged on his jeans pulling him towards the McDonalds counter. I wonder if her mother is in her life. "Who the fuck are you staring at?" Myra said. I turned my gaze back on her. "Nobody." I said as I bit in my eggroll. Myra turned towards the McDonalds counter. "Oh my God! I know him! Terrence! Terrence!" The man and his daughter turned around. He smiled and waved at her; I swear my heart melted into a huge puddle. After they grabbed their food, him and his daughter started to walk towards us. "Are they coming this way?" My eyes widened. "Calm down girl. Terrence is a cool person and he's cute. Not to mention he's single." Myra said and winked. Single? Did she just say single? "What happened to his baby mama?" I said. Before Myra can answer me, the little girl jumped into her arms. "Myra!"

"Hey Yani." Myra kissed her on her forehead, "Wassup Terrence?" She got up and hugged him. "Hey. How are you? It's been a while."

"I know, it has. We need to catch up on some things. Matter of fact, Nasir is having a BBQ for King's birthday. You two should roll through." Nasir? Did she say Nasir? A sinister smile fell onto my face. Well this day keeps getting better and better. Terrence looked at me and licked his lips. "How rude of you not to introduce me to your beautiful friend." Terrence said to Myra. She rolled her eyes. "She aight." Myra then smiled, "Terrence, this is Rayne. Rayne, this is Terrence. And this little thing right here is his daughter Yani."

"Hello Yani." I bent down to her level, "You're very pretty." Yani blushed, "Thank you." She mumbled. I stood up and shook Terrence's hand. "It's a pleasure meeting you." Terrence kissed my head and flashed that million dollar smile. "The pleasure is all mine."

"So are you going to the BBQ?"

"I don't know. It sounds like more of a family gathering. I don't want to intrude." This was the part where Myra is suppose to invite me to come. "Girl, you're not going to intrude. We need some more women in the family anyway. Besides, you have to meet Jay!"

"Well, if it's okay..."

"It's fine!"

"Okay then, I'll come."

"Well, I hope to see you there then beautiful." Terrence kissed me on my cheek and grabbed Yani's hand. "Bye." Yani waved at me and Myra. Once they were out of sight and fell against my chair fanning myself. God damn that man is fine. I can't wait for the BBQ.
