Broken Team (ep. 7)

Every child went to their rooms after being scolded. Jynx stood waiting for everyone to march away from each other and let the day pass into night in hopes for the air to calm more. The Hokage sat on a seat in the dining room and watched Jynx walk towards him. She sighed leaning against the wall with her head back. 

"I see everything is in great hands here. I assure you, if you get questioned about leaving out the main gates, I will let you have a pass saying you are allowed to enter and leave as you wish. This will be different compared to your traveling sales pass. I know you have the one for only you, but this one is for your new students," Sarutobi stood up and placed his hat back on. "I wish the best for you. And try and keep up with our rulings here in the Village please. You may not be accepted to be in the village, but it really was hard to fight for you to have this place in the first place. I want the rest of the elders to be able to accept my decision, and let you live here in peace. Most of the villagers, despite some rivaling clans wanted you to have this place no matter what they had to do to help you out. They might have done it to stop being asked, but also maybe not."

Jynx snickered and looked around the room, "I'm fine Sarutobi Sensei. It'll be a bit until everyone warms up to each other. I remember when we both made captain. Kakashi and the others were so angry at us, and only for being so young and yet their superiors. Even the rest of the Anbus had certain 'tests' for us to go through in order to prove that we were strong enough. They thought since we were love interests that we couldn't work together... But that wasn't the case when I've been with the traveling census group working before he ever joined the Anbu. He never knew that either. It was like they didn't trust our training even though we were all obviously chosen to join for certain reasons. I wasn't going to always be in the Village. Still, those years were entertaining." Jynx closed her eyes and sighed reminiscing in the past. The Hokage looked up at Jynx only to smile softly. "Say, when you get back and you see Kakashi what are you going to tell him. Or at least, what can I say about this place. I'm sure his squad cannot come here to visit, but Kakashi can right?"

The Hokage chuckled and took a puff from his pipe, "Don't worry, just watch what you say and wear and team 7 should be able to join you for dinner some time," he slightly blushed and scratched his neck looking away, "Just if you do invite them all over, can you make sure and tell me? I've been starving for some of your home cooked food. My wife, forgive me for saying this, has never made food as good as you can make now, Jynx. Oh, I think I'll go to an early grave for saying that. But she would've loved you, I'm sure of it, you always reminded me of her."

Jynx laughed and headed to the kitchen. "I'm sure she would be just as proud of you for figuring out how to cook on your own sometimes as well. She was taken too soon... Just as my father..." She opened the cupboards and frowned. "It seems, that my first task for my students will be grocery shopping with me tomorrow."

The Hokage smiled and stood up. "Oh, and if you would entertain any time soon, please let us know. Quite a few people would like to visit during that as well. Mainly your singing and," Sarutobi blushed greatly and said his next choice words in a hushed tone after clearing his throat, "And if you're going to be dancing, I know a few people who missed out on yours a while back. They heard about you in the other Village, but they never got to see you in action."

With a giggle, Jynx headed to the door, "This will be the end of our day. I'll be glad to invite you over again one of these days when I'm more prepared than now, but for food only. I'll have to redecorate this place first. It just needs a woman's touch. And that'll be another task for a later date." After opening the door to the outside, Jynx saw three anbu black ops standing ready for an ambush at any moment from Jynx to the Hokage. She snickered and pulled out three kunai. She held them up in the air together and one at a time threw it at the base of the tree limb each member was standing or crouched on. Each one dead between their feet, hitting their marks as deadly as the woman throwing them. The Hokage stepped out and watched Jynx slightly, he raised an arm up to signal 'stop' and thanked Jynx politely before walking down the path.
