I just kept the list item I bought in my walk I closet. Standing back up from my crouched position my eyes move around the closet looking at the various clothes and issues I have. My gaze falls upon the vibrant sunset orange dress at the back of the closet. Walking towards it, I feel the silky material of the high-low dress. It was my mother's. I smile faintly at the memory of my mom wearing it for the gala party in our hometown.

She looked so beautiful in it almost like a girl on fire.

I laugh at that thought. God... I miss her so much. I wish she were here with me right now. Taking a step back from the dress, I see a sharp edge under the dress. Scrunching my eyebrows in confusion, I crouch down and lift the dress up. A white chest with an intricate drawing of a dragon swirling towards the lock. Almost like it is protecting it. Lifting the box in my hands, I turn it over my fingers gliding along the smooth wood and ivory surface of the box. Oddly it looks familiar to me like I have seen it before but I just can't remember where.

Flipping the latch open, I look inside. I gasp in surprise. There are a hundred of letters in it. But that's not what surprises me. What surprises me is that all the letters... have my name written on it. In my mother's handwriting. Suddenly a flash back hits me.

"Mommy?" A little girl about the age of four with pixie cut auburn hair opens the door slowly. Peeking in her bright green eyes land upon a women, with a light brown skin and her long auburn hair falling like a waterfall around her waist, sitting on the windowsill in a big white and gold room.

She looks up at the sound of the little girl's voice. Her own bright green eyes meeting the little girl's small frame near the door. She smiles at the girl. Her smile lighting up the room to produce an almost angelic shine on the women.

"Come here, little starfire." She says motioning the little girl to sit on her lap.

The little girl giggles and runs into the room. Reaching her mother she motions her hands up impatiently. The women swoops down and lifts the girl high and into her lap bringing more giggles more from the girl.

"What's that mommy?" She points at the white dragon chest sitting in front of her mother snuggling further into her lap. Several papers lie in front of them with big and long words that the little girl's mind couldn't understand.

"That my little fire is my chest. You will find all the answers that you might ever need in this world written in it." She says shifting the girl around her lap so she can see her face. She plays with the girl's hair as her eyes take in her features. From the little plump mouth to the large doe-like eyes. She continues and says, "One day I may not be here. So you have to promise to take care of my chest okay?"
