"I got him." Zant smiled and lowered Kaden.
"So..." Naomi sat on his bed and looked at his laptop screen.
"I'm just looking up random shit again."
"You're so weird." Naomi laughed and shook her head before laying down on the bed.
"What are you Emily?" Zant nervously laughed.
"Why did you bring her up?" Naomi a
sat up.
"I dunno I wasn't thinking of guess." Zant looked at Kaden who was trying to stay awake.
"Yeah you weren't." Naomi sighed.
"Mama! papa!"
Zant and Naomi rushed to the shouting voices.
"What is it what's wrong?" Naomi questioned.
"Someone's here." They point at the door.
Zant handed Kaden to Naomi and went to answer the door. "Hello?"
No one was there but a note. "It's a note from our ex's... both of them."
Naomi gulped and felt her heart drop. "What's it say?"
"It says dear love birds we are sending you the check that you rudely left."
"How much?" Naomi asked nervously.
"Four hundred and fifty...." Zant threw the note down and went to his room.
"Fuck..." Naomi picked up the note and read it for herself.
The phone rang. "I'll get it." Naomi shouted out before answering. "Hello?"
"Oh, Naomi hi."
"Emily?"
"Yeah... uh could I speak to Zant please I forgot to pick up my check at work."
"On one condition you double the check we just received for Josh and Vanessa."
"I could try but I know of can just dispose of it for sure if me and Zant could."
"No!" Naomi threw the phone Zant who was passing by to get his shoes on caught it.
"Emily I'm on my way."
"You do anything other than taking her to and from work and you're both dead!" Naomi walked away.
"Not even a hug?"
"I'm sure a hug is fine." Zant said quietly.
"Zant don't make me hurt you."Naomi gritted her teeth.
Zant hung up and went to get Emily.
Naomi sat with Kaden In her lap. "Why won't he just ask me already?"
"Ask what mama?" Anaika tired to get up on the couch.
"Oh uh for me to be his wife baby."
Aurora sat on the steps and played with her doll. "Daddy?"
"Daddy will be back later love."
Naomi ran a hand through her hair. "Maybe he like orange hair better.."
It wasn't till three in the afternoon till Zant had returned Naomi was dying her hair in the bathroom. "Can you watch the kids I'm almost done."
"Yeah." Zant walked to the living room
Aurora ran up to him. "Up!"
Zant laughed and picked her up. "What you guys doing?"
"Coloring." Aurora pointed down at her siblings.
"That's fun." Zant down on the floor.
"Dada got owie?" Aurora pointed at his arm.
"Yeah..." Zant softly smiled.
"So how was Emily." Naomi shouted out.
"Fine I took her out for lunch."
"I have to talk to you later tonight." Naomi walked upstairs.
Zant gave a nod and laid down on the floor.
