Emma's POV

Emma Wizz woke up with a dizzy feeling inside her stomach as her rusted, antique clock chimed seven times. It was the first day of school, something everyone hated. She gradually got up from her single sized bed and walked over to her dressing table. Three large, round mirrors showed a medium sized girl with very pale skin covered in freckles and locks of long, frizzy, uneven brown hair and forest green eyes. This was typical Emma Wizz, a normal teenage girl who was just an outcast with a best friend who couldn't care less about her. She quickly got dressed in her denim shorts and threw on a minty green top that complemented her eyes. First day of school appearances usually didn't bother her that much. Impressing boys wasn't her thing, and girls usually avoided her anyways. She brushed briefly through her hair before bundling it up in a messy bun and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Bright, warm sunlight streamed through the kitchen curtains onto her face as the smell of bacon and eggs greeted her. She looked up and saw her mum at the metal sink washing the silver platters and glass bowls.

"Oh good, your up", her mum said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. Emma's parents worked 24/7 so they rarely had any time left to spend mornings and nights with Emma. Their always up before Emma wakes up and returns home only when Emma is asleep.

"Mum, why aren't you working today?", Emma questioned curiously as she sat down on the wooden chair and ate her breakfast.

Her mum sighed," Yesterday I recieved a letter from the company and they got me fired".

"Why?", Emma asked.

"Don't worry Emma, there are plenty of people out there who you can't trust."

"But mum-"

"Go to school, you don't want to be late- AGAIN!!", her mum argued as she stuck a crumbled note in her red, velvet purse and walked out of the front door, heels clinking against the stone patio.

Emma shrugged and drank her cup of cold milk while shoving text books into her purple duffle bag. She found her lunch packed neatly in a container, inside the fridge. There were so many left over food from last night cramming inside that she had to scan up and down the fridge twice before finding her fluorescent orange container.

When she was ready, she laced up her muddy sneakers and walked out of the door, head high and smiling, not to realise she was about to make the biggest mistake of her life.

Kristy's POV

Dry, red leaves crunched under Kristy's purple boots as she circled the old lamp post waiting for Emma's arrival. The sun scorched her back and she couldn't help but to feel that Emma had bailed out on her again. Kristy twirled her brown curly hair anxiously as she looked down at her leather watch. I'm waiting for 5 more minutes, Kristy decided.

Soon, from the sounds of panting and clumsy feet running, Kristy could tell that Emma was here. She turned and started to walk as Emma soon caught up with her.

"Sor-ry, I for-got about the time", Emma said as she took a deep breath of crisp fall air.

Kristy sighed and kept walking. She was mad- no, PISSED at Emma for being late again. She was just about to cross the road when she noticed that Emma had fallen behind her.

"Emma, come on! We don't have all day to get to school!", Kristy shouted as she wiped her sweaty, red face which was getting seriously uncomfortable. All she wanted to do right now was to sit down inside the library with fans blasting overhead while reading her favourite novel. Yeah right, as if it was that easy.

"Wait, come here and look!", Emma squealed as she pointed to something gold buried inside a massive dirt-covered hole.

Kristy took a few steps towards Emma and groaned. Emma was such a collector, everything she thought that looked fascinating, she had to keep.

"Emma, its just some random rubbish, let's go!", Kristy commanded impatiently. No WAY am I going to help her dig that thing out, Kristy thought to herself as she looked down at her perfectly clean and filed nails. Kristy sighed and left Emma behind as she walked to school all by herself, admiring her cute purple skirt and leaving Emma to scavange for rubbish.

Emma's POV

Betrayal. That was the first thing Emma thought of at the sight of Kristy leaving and the rude remarks she left that kept on hitting Emma in the face. "I don't care what she thinks of me", Emma grumbled as she poked at the golden object with a sturdy stick. It loosened slightly and Emma pulled and pulled at it. She pulled at it with such force it sent her flying backwards onto the asphalt.

Emma sat up and rubbed her sore head.

"Ouch", she complained to herself.

Emma looked at the object in her hand. It looked like a Genie's lantern, with gold carvings and outlines. Somethings different, Emma thought. A nasty feeling seeped into her brain but she shrug it off. Emma leaned in to examine the lantern, rubbing the inscription and trying to get a better view of it. Suddenly the golden lantern shook and it lifted out of Emma's reach trailing dust and a bit of golden spark behind.

"What the- ", Emma remarked, clearly startled.

Hello Emma, I am Gina the Genie and I will serve my owner. You have 15 Wishes to make. What is your first wish?, A feminine, melodic voice sang inside her head. Emma was spell-bound.

Suddenly black smoke started to pour out from the lantern and a woman appeared in front of Emma. Emma gasped. She couldn't have really imagined that. The woman had long straight red hair, dark skin and the most peircing green eyes that seemed to hypnotise Emma and draw her in. She had on a pink silky top with the embroidery of a flower in gold thread and pink sequins. Matching baggy pants and a silky dark pink veil completed her look. The woman was covered head to toe in golden jewellery and her red lipped smile send thousands of chills down Emma's body.
