Hello Everyone!
as you can tell by my facebook name, my name is Monique Turner, I'm Emily's favourite cousin 😉It has come to my attention that some people aren't very nice these days, not just her friends, some of my friends and some randoms friends are probably not that nice either! The one thing all of us have in common? Human rights.
The deceleration of human rights was adopted by the United Nations in 1948, the declaration of human rights is made up of 30 articles. Each one has a very important purpose to our existence. How do we get these basic human rights? By being born! Just because we are born human we automatically have these rights. If you don't know how you are born you might want to ask your parents....
Should I list all 30 acts of the declaration of human rights? No, because well? I don't want people to fall asleep if they haven't already!
Instead I'm going to be talking about 4.
Act 1,3,5 and 18Act one? Gives us the right to freedom! And equal to dignity and rights.
It means you can say what you want! Be what you want! Unless! What you want to be and what you say effects other people's rights.
Act three? Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.
Does this mean everyone should feel safe? That's how I took it.
Act five? No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, degrading treatment or punishment.
Everyone atleast once in their life has broken this law. If you have bullied, made fun of! Pushed a kid around! You are breaking a simple human right law to life!
Act eighteen? Everyone has the right to their own religious beliefs, freedom of thought by themselves or with other people, to manifest his teachings.
Now here is a touchy subject!
Muslims are terrorists? Wrong.
We don't blame all of Germany for what one man did!
So why are we blaming a group of religious people for what other people have done! The port Arthur Massacre. Was a terrorist attack. It was by a white Christian man yet we still believe muslims are the only terrorists. Terrible people are everywhere. Don't just blame a culture, blame the people.
For those who haven't fallen asleep while reading this, take a minute out of your day to ask yourself, are you breaking these acts of simple human rights that we didn't even earn! It's not hard to change the way you see things. Just do what makes the world a better place.
Goodnight x
