Chapter 1 - Birthday

Jasmine's POV.

The day so far hasn't been that special. I went to school, talked to my friends, had lunch and went home. So you can say it's been a boring day so far. Right know I'm in my room listening to music and looking out the window. My view is the best in the house. I can see the woods, the sea and the mountains. I have spent hours just sitting here and looking through it. When I look out I just want to run through in between the trees, swim in the sea and climb to the top of the mountains. "Jasmine, dinner is ready." I heard my mom shout downstairs. I stopped the music and went down.

"Anything happened at school today?" my mom asked. "No, nothing special. Like always." I mumbled the last part. "What was that?" my dad asked. "Nothing." I said and continued to eat. When I was about to leave the table, my dad tells me they are going on a business trip and will be gone for 3 weeks, and that my aunt will come and stay with me. I went up to my room and picked up my phone. As I did one of my friends called. "Hey Lucy." "Hey Jazz. What are you doing ?" "Nothing really. Why?" "Do you want to come over ? The others are coming" "Sure, now?" "Yeah." "Ok I'll be there in 5." We said goodbye and hung up.

"I'm going to Lucy. I won't be late." I said as I put my shoes on and went out the door. It doesn't take that long to walk to Lucy so 5 minutes later I was there. I knocked on the door. The door open but no one stood there. "Hello?" "Boo!" Lucy jumped from the back of the door. As she shouted boo I jumped back. "OMG! Your face!" Lucy tried to said while she was laughing. "Haha, very funny." I said sarcastic as I walked past her. We walked in to her room where I got tackled to the floor as soon as I as in the room by Emily, Daniel and Jace. "Happy Birthday!" They said in sync. They got of me and Jace helped me up.

Jace Sharp has light brown hair with brown eyes. He is on the football team and loves to be active. We have been friends since 5th grade.

Daniel Fox has blond hair with blue eyes. He is the one friend that will always be there for you, no matter what. He loves to read and is a bit of a geek, but aren't be all. We haven't been friends that long.

Emily Woods has blond hair with blue green eyes. She loves to write and music. She will always be there in good and bad days. We have been friends since kindergarten.

Lucy West has dark brown hair with green eyes and she has some freckles. She loves to be outdoors. To be active in the woods. We have been friends since 3th grade.

We didn't do much, just watch some movies. "Have you done the homework that is for tomorrow?" Jace asked. "Yeah" Emily and Daniel said. "I'm going to do it later." Lucy answered. "What about you Jasmine?" Jace asked since I didn't say anything. "What? Oh yeah." I really didn't listen to what he asked, was a little busy watching the movie. "What about you?" I asked as I looked him in the eyes. "Of course I did it..." I raised my eyebrow. "...Not." Jace said and looked down.

We watched one movie after that and then we started to leave. Me being one of the first to leave. On the way home I was lost in thoughts. 'What are my parents working on? Why can't they be like normal people? I mean no one is that often gone.' While I was in my thoughts I didn't realise that I had walked to my room. 'How the?'

2 days later

Today it is Saturday and my parents have already left before I woke up. My aunt is coming in about 4 hours so I have the house for myself. And I have nothing to do. So I did the most boring thing in the world, I cleaned my room.

1 hour later my room was clean and I was back to doing nothing. I checked if I had any homework, but nope. "What am I suppose too do?" I asked no one. I walked down to watch TV, I had nothing better to do.

After 3 hours of watching TV and sleeping there was a knock on the door. I went to open and there my aunt stood. She hugged me thigh. "It's so god to see you again." She said as she let go of me. "It's good to see you to Elena." I said as she walked in. "What have you been?" Elena asked when we was sitting on the couch. "I have been good nothing special has happened since you were here last month. You?" "Just good. What are we going to do in this 3 weeks?" Elena asked and looked at me. Her blue eyes looking in to mine dark green once. She looks so much like my dad, not weird though they are siblings. The only that isn't similar is the hair, Elena is blond and my dad has black.

"I don't know. We can..." I said, but I had to think of something. "I don't know." I couldn't think of one thing to do. So we ended up doing our own things. Elena packed out in the guestroom and I was in my room listening to music and doing nothing.
