You are my sunshine
My only sunshine

The pitter patter of the rain against the window held a tranquil melancholy. It was in honour of the fallen, in particular, the man with the bright blue eyes. They always said his eyes were as blue as the sky, but as they were now glazed over and lifeless, they were probably the same ashen colour as the current sky.

You make me happy
When skies are grey

Heaven cried out for their angel, but when someone so special passes on, they do not return from where they originate. And this particular angel could not return to those pearly gates. For he had fallen and broken, and once perished,  became forever lost in the limbo between light and dark- heaven and hell. A place of nothingness. A place of unearthly peace. Silence.

You'll never know dear
How much I love you

Dean sat in the windowsill of his motel, his knees pressing against his chest with a desperation he couldn't explain. His eyes shut tightly with every shutter of thunder, tears trickling down his freckled cheeks like the raindrops intertwining with one another on the window to make a unity of distilled sadness. Dean's whole body ached for the touch of another person; someone who could take away this somber night and mend it into a day with skies as blue as the beautiful eyes he'd gotten used to seeing each morning. But that was all over now. This was one time that bringing someone back wasn't remotely plausible. Of all the things Dean had seen and done, logic was no longer on his side. His supernatural life has its perks, but because of his unwillingness to believe that "there's nothing I can do", he would soon waste his life away waiting. Hoping. Praying. Praying to an angel that would forever be lost.

Please don't take my sunshine away.
