The corner is where you would always find her
Sitting still waiting for a caring heart to come near
With her nose in a book and her legs tangled
Everywhere she went a smell of coffee and mystery mingledShe looked like adventure and tranquility at the same time
With the nostalgia of memories made and cherished her eyes would shine
Her smile was like the moon calm and unfazed
But it had the power to keep you wondering and dazedShe knew of things but never let herself share
Afraid how much a heart not hers could bare
With exceptional grace she traveled from wonderland to reality
Secretly looking for a hand to hold for eternityLike a thief she could only love the stolen hearts
Wearing her heart on her sleeves ready to be pierced by poisonous darts
Fear and disappointment made her a solitary chick
But she kept craving love like a broke drug addict.
