Lily & The Magical Forest

Chapter 1 The Forest

I was walking in a forest one day, just needed to get away from the house. Things were amounting to way to much to deal with. So I ran away. When I looked at a hollowed tree and thought my eyes were deceiving me. In this seemingly normal tree was a door and two buttons. So I looked around, no one was in sight. I thought I was imagining it. I mean how often do you see a hollowed out tree that looked like an elevator? . So I rubbed my eyes, waited a little bit and then opened them. But the old elevator was still there. At this point I was wondering wether I was going insane. I was thinking I finally lost it.

I may as well embrace this crazy side of me. I ripped open the door, stepped inside and pushed the “up” button. Nothing happened. I pressed the cobweb covered button again.

Still, nothing happened. I pressed it again. Then, the floor started to shake. All of a sudden it sounded like air was escaping from a piston and the elevator started to move upwards. It was very slow and it seemed to struggle. It was old though so you couldn’t really complain, but slowly and steadily it made its way to the top. Which was something in its self. After I opened the door at the top of the elevator, my eyes popped out. Sitting in front of me, was a cat. A very slender cat , with a ginger colour and green eyes. “Are you the guy who’s meant to fix the water pump” he said. “No, who are you?” I said.

“My name, is Sir Oliver Fishman”. “What are you doing in my house?’’ . ‘Uh well” I said, I was trying desperately to think of a excuse for why I’m in someone’s house. “ how about  you leave before I make you” said the cat. “just one thing first sir” I said. “go on” said sir Oliver. “How come you live in a forest?”. “You do realise where you are don’t you?” Oliver said. “I’m in a forest, that all I know” I said. “Your not just in any forest” said Oliver. “Sorry what was your name” he said. “Lily, Lily Evermore”. “such a beautiful name” said Oliver with a smile. “Thank you” I said. “Perhaps you should stay for dinner”. “Thanks I’d appreciate that a lot” I said.

“Ok so heres the deal” said Oliver. “You’re here, in the deserted forest”. “Deep in the heart of the Agoltra Region, theirs just one thing” said Oliver. “How did you get here?”

“Where do you live?” . “Well” I said. “ I kind of ran away”. “ I don’t have a home at the moment” I said. “Well, if you need a place to stay there is a spare bed up in the tree tops” said oliver. “Your so nice” I said.

“How’s your roast duck?’’ asked Oliver.  “ Very good thank you, you’re a quite the cook” I said. “Thanks” Said Oliver. “the secret to good cooking is to start of with good ingredients” . “Do you by any chance do any hunting” asked Oliver. “Yes, while I was homeless I had to eat whatever I scavenged” I said. “And I did archery when I was a kid”. “Well” said Oliver.  “Lets go for a walk Lily” He said. “Oh, and bring whatever you hunt with, with you”.  So I grabbed my bag and we headed down the elevator to ground level to go off on a little hunting expedition.

Chapter 2 The Hunt

“So Oliver, how do you hunt?” I asked. “I’m a cat, so I just use my instincts” He said with a smile. “ I have this special throwing knife archery method where I can pin animals to the ground from more than a hundred metres away” I said. “Very impressive” Oliver said. I took out one of the blades from my bag to show Oliver. “They are very Fragile, hooned to perfection and their made out of Titanium”  I said. “I must say you are a master of archery and knifes”. “You really know what your doing” said Oliver. “what’s that ahead? I asked. Oliver looked frightened and then whispered in my ear, “that is a giant lizard”. “Its claws will kill you just by touching you” he said. “we should get out of here then” I said. “wait” Oliver said, “just walk slowly, you don’t want to surprise it”.
