Xavier POV*
I waited by the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, growing impatient by the second. I looked over the crowd and my eyes stopped short over a girl talking to one of my men, Aiden, my beta. I noticed he was doing anything but chatting with that one girl and my wolf isn't taking it very well. It's her isn't it? I know it is.
I was distracted from my thoughts when Caiden, Aiden's brother and my third in command came up to me with a line of girls with hopeful faces looking at me. I instantly rejected them all, they smell nothing like strawberries and cream. In fact their excessive perfume was even making it hard to breathe. The girls instantly started crying, pathetic.
I looked at the girl again only to see she was coming my way whilst sticking sticky notes on people. Aiden must have given them to her, I saw him about to stop her but instantly gave him a look telling him to stop. She was right in front of me now sticking sticky notes on me.
Just as I was about to speak to her I was pushed back and I saw a man punch her.
"What do you think you're doing?" the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack roared at her as she curled into a ball.
I instantly had his throat in my hand and him dangling in the air "You dare to touch my mate mutt?" I snarled at him.
"No no I'm sorry. I didn't know. I thought your mate had more class" he whimpered out fear evidently in his eyes.
"HEY" I turned my head to see my mate get up and run to the woods with Aiden chasing after her. I instantly dropped the Alpha.
"Stay here and watch over the pack" I said to my men as I went after them.
Why did she run?
