Grace POV*

"I'll be back soon"

That voice I've heard it before. But where?

I slowly fell into darkness dreaming a dream I thought I had forgotten so long ago.

My mother.

Rogues.

The park.

Me clutching my mother's leg.

"Grace Darling, can you do something for momma?"

"Yes mama"

"Take this" she said as she pressed something smooth and shiny into my little palm "that stone will be your best friend, never forget it. When I say run you run away from here. Straight home to papa ok Grace?"

"What about you mama?"

"Mama will be fine. I may not always be with you in person but I will be watching over you, letting you know that I am still here" she said as she pointed at my chest.

"Promise me you'll be a good girl ok?"

"Yes mama"

"Gabriel, take your sister and run when I say so ok?"

"Yes, mother" said my brother as he clutched my hand and pulled me away from our mother.

"I love you mother, more then you'll ever know" I said as I felt tears fall from my eyes. I knew she wasn't coming back

"I do know sweetie. I do, because I love you just the same" she said as she gave us both a hug. It was then that the rogues decided to pounce on us. My mother protected us, she fought them of us as my brother tried to help by distracting them from her.

"NOW KIDS. RUN. RUN AWAY FROM HERE" My mother screamed at us as I watched her choke on her own blood.

We ran of course, too scared to even turn back.

I love you - I heard my mother through the mind link her link with us slowly fading. She's gone.

I felt pain. My wolf can't stand it. Our mother gone.

Black spots clouded my vision. As I fell to the ground I saw my brother scream for me to get up and run whilst fighting of two buff looking men. I watched as they tied him up and threw him into the back of their truck before I drowned in pain.

I woke up with a shock as I felt someone beside me shaking me. I looked up to only see......see.......what's his name again?

I looked at him in confusion as he pulled me into his chest and held me close. I like it. I like being in his arms. It's comfy.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asked as he stared down at me in worry. I nodded my head. It's been so long since I've had that dream. My brother I don't know if he's alive or not. I haven't been able to mind link someone for so long. I don't know....it hurts.

"Hey"

I looked up at him and realised how close we were. Slowly I moved away from him. I flinch back as he reached towards me and he instantly but his hands down. I sat in front of him and tilted my head to the side, questioning him.... I think he understands.

"I'm Xavier, Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack as well as your mate."

....oh yeah. This guy.

I nodded my head in understanding. He watched me as I surveyed the room I was in...must be his. I got up and left the room.

"Hey where you going?" he asked as he quickly got up and followed me. I walked around causing other people glance at me as I walked passed. Ah ha. Found it. The Kitchen.

I looked inside to see a group of ladies making lunch for the pack and a group of kids my age hanging around. The ladies smiled warmly at me whilst the group of kids went silent and watched me as I made my way to the fridge and gulped down three whole jugs of water.

"Whoa girl. You must be thirsty" said Caiden as he and Aiden walked into the kitchen. I grinned at them as I grabbed another jug.

"Umm, excuse me Luna" I turned at looked at a lady that was staring at me with wide eyes, I gave her a questioning look "That's the water we serve the warriors when they finish their shift"

Oh... the water was for someone. I gave her a nod as I started coughing the water back up.

"Hey, you don't have to spit it back out"

"We can just get more water"

"Eww that's disgusting" that was Aiden.

I gave the jug of water that coughed up to the lady that looked like she was going to puke. I smiled at her whilst she returned one with a hesitant smile. I gave her a nod before walking out of the kitchen. I guess I can last with 3 jugs of water.....I need to find a place like the waterfall I had in my old pack.

Time to go exploring I guess. But first I need to explore the pack I am in. I spent the next few hours before lunch walking around the place, memorising the areas I've been in.....there's something that has been bothering me for a while now. I'm being followed, I turned around to see Aiden eating a sandwich.

"Hey, sorry I didn't mean to follow you but I got curious as to what you were doing"

No.....it's not him. I walked past him.

"Hey come on I didn't mean to bother you" he said as he followed me. I stopped and pressed a finger to my lips.

Shh I said to him in his head.

"Ugh" he said as he took a step back clutching his head "I thought I told you to tell me before you do that, I had my walls up. It hurts when you force your way through like that"

Then don't have your walls up next time

"You're mean" he said as I walked on, ignoring his ongoing chatter.

I stopped where I was. And looked towards the small table. It's here. I grabbed the vase and emptied the water on my hand. It moved around, a messenger.

Yes, now I don't have to go and look for one. I don't have to walk aimlessly and get lost in the middle of an unknown place.

*munch crunch crunch*

I turned around to see Aiden now joined by his brother Caiden...both eating sandwiches.

"What was that?" asked Caiden with his mouth full. I looked at him in disgust. Then again these two people were the only people I trust in this place.

It's nothing for you to worry about, why are you two following me?

"Ugh, my walls" whined Caiden as I spoke to him.

"haha I know, the agony" said Aiden as he referred back to before.

These guys are weird. I'm going back to my room. I walked off as they started arguing about which sandwich was better. These guys are totally weird.
