Half A Heart

Chapter 1

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

My alarm blares awakening me from my peaceful slumber.

"Shut up!" I groan at my phone as I slam the snooze button and rest my head back on my pillow.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Ugh!" I roll over and tackle my phone falling off the bed in the process.

"Thanks a lot Cecilia because I love waking up early in the morning." I sarcastically mumble to my phone, yeah that's right I named my phone...and I talk to it...there's nothing wrong with that okay.

I trudge over to my bathroom and tiredly brush my teeth and wash my face.

"I'm hungry." I say aloud to myself.

My roommate or my best friend Lilly was gone to get breakfast as she does almost every Saturday.

The doorbell rings startling me.

"Finally!" I scream running to open the door to see two big McDonald's bags and a ginger head popping up from the top of the bags.

"Oh my god what took you so long!" I emphasize grabbing a bag from her and putting it on our kitchen island.

"Please you only woke up five minutes ago." She states putting the other bag on the island.

"How did you know?" I ask confused.

"We've been living together for a year, I know when you're alarm rings." She says in an obvious tone.

"Now come eat."

"Don't have to tell me twice!" I excitedly empty the contents of the bag and devour my breakfast.

"I'm still hungry." I whine.

"How do you eat so much! You literally just ate 3 mcmuffins 2 hash browns and a box of pancakes!"

"I am not ashamed," I say crossing my arms and looking up away from her.

"Eat an apple."

"No.Ew."

"Fine, take the pancakes!" She gives up motioning towards the almost empty bag.

"Victory!" I shout doing a little victory dance.

"So what do you want to do today." I ask her stealing some of her drink earning a glare.

"Oh I have to see Elicia at the mall today so if you want to go too." She informs me.

"Sure I'll call Soph." I say throwing everything in the bin and running to my room to get dressed.

My finger hovers over all my contacts and I find Sophie's name pressing it and putting my phone to my ear.

"Hullo?" Sophie's voice rings in through the speaker.

"Hey Soph, Lilly's meeting up with a friend of hers at the mall, do you want to join me and my imaginary friends for a trip to the mall?" I ask

"Hmm...I don't know." She drags

"Please Sophie, I haven't seen you in so long!" I whine.

"Of course." She gives in laughing.

"Yes."

"Okay I'll see you in 2 hours?" I ask her.

"Yeah okay, bye" She finishes.

I throw my phone onto my bed and quickly take a shower.

Once I showered I wrap myself with a rough towel, a really bad one, it's like sandpaper I need to buy more towels.

I decided on some white skinny jeans with a short sleeved black shirt printed with watermelons.

Considering we were leaving in about two hours I leave my hair to air dry and lie on my bed scrolling through twitter.

"Coming!" I shout as I quickly slip on some black flats and put my hair into a pony tail.

I quickly grab my small brown leather handbag and run downstairs to join Lilly and drive to the mall.

And by drive I mean belt out the lyrics to our favourite songs at the top of our lungs while trying to not go over speed limit or crash the car.

Yes I know this is a short chapter, but that's only 'cause it's the first the other ones will be longer.

I will try to do weekly updates but sometimes school gets too stressful and I get to much homework , so yeah.
