~Changes~

Light shown through my window as my eyes fluttered open. Mika was still asleep next to me as I sat up. He looked so peaceful sleeping. My hand found its way to his face as I cupped his cheek. He snuggled into my hand as he snored softly. I lifted the blankets up to get up but then quickly put them back down. "Oh my god." I said to myself. I lifted them again then put them back down, quicker then before, then hopped up trying to get away from him. "Oh my god." I said again, covering my mouth. His eyes opened up slowly as he lifted his head toward me. "Yu? Is everything alright?" He asked, rubbing his hair. "Uh, M-Mika. Look, look at your waist." I said, looking away embarrassed. He looked confused as he lifted the covers up. He gasped then flung the covers off him. "I have legs?!" He exclaimed. "OOOOOOK." I yelled as I grabbed a pillow and covered him up, since he wasn't wearing anything, at all. He kept the pillow close to him, guarding himself. "Ok, ok somethings not right.. Why do you have legs? You're a mermaid!" I said, pacing back and forth. "This is insane. This shouldn't be happening." He said freaking out.

Then I realized something. "Wait, I've read about this." I said, running over to my wall. I looked at the documentaries until I found the one I was looking for. "Here. You can read right? Like Kanji?" I asked.

"A little, yes." He said, grabbing the paper gently from me.

"Well, according to that, mermaids can turn into humans to blend in with us a lot better." I started pacing back and forth again.

His eyes shifted back and forth as he read the paper.

I looked over at him, confused. "What?"

"Hand me that." He said, pointing to the pen. I ran over then handed it to him. He turned the paper around and rested it in his lap. "May I?" He asked.

"No go ahead."

He clicked the pen and started writing down something I couldn't understand.

"What does that mean?"

"It's shapeshifter in Russian." He explained. "You can speak Russian?" I said, astonished. "I speak many languages: Japanese, English, Russian, German, Portages, Scandinavian, and many more." He said turning the paper back around. "So, you're basically saying you're a shapeshifter." I asked. He nodded his head once in agreement. That was the moment when I started freaking out.

"Oh my god what are we going to do? What will Guren say? What if you can't turn back into a mermaid?"

"Yu calm down. We'll figure something out." He said with a soothing tone.

"Yuichiro, what the hell are you doing in there?" My eyes went to my door as I started freaking out again. "U-uh, nothing, nothing Kimizuki!" I said, locking my door quickly. He tried opening it then slammed his fist on the door. I looked back at Mikaela and mouthed, "hide". He nodded his head and started to get out. I quickly covered my eyes as he crawled away. I moved my fingers a little and saw that he was no where to be seen. I then took a deep breath and unlocked the door, opening it. Kimizuki stood there confused then pushed past me, looking around. "Where are they?" He asked, looking in my closet. "Where's who?" I asked, trying to be innocent.

"Do you really think I'm stupid? Where's the other person you were talking to?"

"I wasn't talking to anyone."

Then I heard something bump my bed and a groan. I closed my eyes tightly then slowly looked at my bed. I looked back over at Kimizuki and tried to give him a concerning grin. Of course, that didn't work. He immediately got on his hands and knees and looked under the bed. I cover my mouth with my hands as he stood back up.
