Chapter 7:

~Nialls P.O.V.~

After Spanish was over, I waited outside the dooor to talk to Sadia. "Oh my god, Niall! I had no idea that was you!" Sadia said to me and I could feel a blush coming over me. I didn't respond. "I was so confused! I barely had any sleep last night! You're the biggest shit I've ever seen!" I had to smile at that one, which made me face grow to an even deeper red. "C'mon." She said. "We have to hurry up and meet Carlie back at the loft. Let's go get some foood!" She said so excitedly.

"Alright. Do you know what the main meal is?" I asked. If it was gross, I'd probably jujst get some pizza.

"Uh, beef and noodles and some kind of a dessert. Sounded pretty goood to me this morning. What abour you? You like that stuff?" Sadia asked me.

"Love it," I replied. "Mom would make it for me all the time. I wonder what the dessert is," I said, turning to go into the cafeteria. Just then, a hand grabbed my shoulder. Sadia began to speak but noticed that I had stopped. I was mortified that it was Luke again, but as I turned around, I had discovered that it was Carlie. "Oh hey," I said to her. "You're coming with us to the loft, right?"

Carlie gave me a look. "Us?" She asked. "You mean as a couple, or just like us us?" I wish it was as a couple..

"Oh, just friends haha.." Sadia said nervously. Thank god for her cover. "Is that okay?" Carlie nodded as we grabbed some lunch trays and silverware. We got in line for the beef and noodles, right behind my old buddy, James.

"Aye, mate!" I said tapping on his shoulder. "Haven't talked to you in forever!" James looked at me like I was nuts.

"It's been like two weeks, Niall. Calm down." With that, he spun back around and got his meal. What the hell did I do to him? Have I been that much of a jerk lately? Speaking of which, basketball season is just around the corner and I should take out some time today and go practice.

"Who was he," The voice, who I recognized as Sadia, whispered in my ear. "a friend of yours?"

I turned back around. "He's co-captain with me on the basketball team. Apparently he's on his period," I said. I heard two familiar giggles behind me. "What? C'mon, it wasn't that funny. Was it?" The girls looked like they were crying. Maybe it was that funny, I thought. I got some beef and noodles and mashed potatoes and grabbed the dessert.  It kinda looked like peach crisp, yum. At the end of the line I could see some whipped cream. I took a whole giant spoonful of it and laid it right on the crisp. Yummo! I paid for my food and waited on the girls.

Once we were in the loft, Carlie started talking first. "Where did you go after first period? I was looking all over for you!" She cried. Sadia and I exchanged glances. "Is there something I missed here?" Carlie asked, impatience in her voice.

"No," I paused. "no, nothing happened. Right Sadia?" I said.

"Right." She replied.

"Liars!" Carlie exclaimed. "Something definately happened. Just tell me," She pleaded with a small smile.

"We just got into something with Luke," Sadia said.

"What a douche." Calie replied. "So enought about this, what's up with you Niall? Anything goin' on for you?"

"Well," I said. "I do play some hoops, but other that that, no much."

"Oh, well we'll have to watch your games then!" Carlie squealed.

"Carlie, calm down," Sadie said full of laughter.

"Sorry," She nodded. "I just love watching games and stuff. It's so exciting." Carlie said.
