"Miss, would you like to have another cup of coffee?" The waiter politely asked me for the second time tonight. I gave him a small smile before declining the offer.I glanced at my iPhone and realized that it's been two hours and he still haven't arrive. I've ordered a latte for him and a cappuccino for myself. I ordered another one earlier because I've finished my first one while waiting for him.

Babe, I'll be there at 7. Thanks for agreeing to see me..I promise I'll explain everything -Luke

I reread the message and decide to wait for another 15 minutes. He was the one who wanted to meet up, yet he is the one who didn't turn up. I'm sure he is somewhere with Julia... I gave a sigh as I put my chin on my palm and gaze outside, the pre-summer breeze gently brushing against my hair.

The atmosphere of the cafe calms me but I couldn't help but pick up the whispers of the people around me.

"That poor girl waited for almost two hours yet the boy still haven't turn up...."

"It's sad being stood up.."

I put my phone into my bag and took out my purse, ready to pay for the coffees when a boy suddenly sat down opposite of me. I frowned, because that boy is not Luke. I raised my eyebrow at him and stood up. He grabbed my wrist, just a simple gesture but I flinched.

"Sit down! Don't say a word and go along with it!" He hissed. Shocked, I sat back down, trying to figure out his game. He has this bad boy vibe going on but then he looks really good. Not to mention really hot too. My subconscious giggled at that thought.

"I'm sorry for letting you wait, love. Come, I'll send you home." He said loudly as he put a 20 dollar bill on the table. I stood up and he freaking grabbed my hand before we walk out together.

"Thanks for taking care of her man, appreciate it." Brown eyes boy told the waiter before heading out. After passing a block, I yanked my hand out of his hold. "Um, thanks for just now. Here's your money." I said as I gave him back a 20 dollar bill.

"Oh no, it's fine. I'm really sorry that your date blew you off." He smiled at me kindly. I return his smile but I insist on giving him back his money as I don't want to owe him anything.

He looked at me for a minute but before he said something, a ding sound was heard. He frowned at the message he received and I take the opportunity to press the dollar bill into his hand and walked off.

"Hey, wait up. At least can I get your name and number?" My subconscious is cheering in my head, ready to blurt out my name and number but I stopped her.

"No,sorry. But thanks a lot for today. Have a good night. " I smiled once again and turn to leave but brown eye boy doesn't tolerate it.

"I promise I'm not a creep, but at least do give me your number? I really wanna keep in contact with you." He says and shows me his puppy dog eyes. I cannot resist so I took out a Sharpie from my bag and wrote it on his wrist.

I purposely wrote it in Roman numbers but I didn't include my name on it. My heartbeat rate increases when I stand in close contact with him. And when I touched him, I swear there's a tingling sensation.

"You got what you wish. We'll see each other again if fate is willing." I winked and walked off, never turning back.

Once I reach home, I texted Luke to let him know that we are over. I blocked his number but before I went to sleep, I looked at my phone screen again, a flicker of hope that the brown eyes boy will text me.

He didn't.
