What marvelous creatures lay at the bottom of the big blue that are just waiting to be discovered? How many untold treasures are there deep within the hidden depths? Just how long will it be until the ocean's secrets are finally revealed? One can only wonder just how many possibilities life under the water has to offer. However, if we open our eyes and minds, it can turn out to be something truly magical.
The sun was shining high over the open sea as the waves crashed and sparkled brightly. Down below, large schools of fish danced along the currents as their scales shimmered in the sunlight creating rainbows. Different colored corals glistened as the ripples of the waves above flowed over them like moving rays of light. At the sandy bottom, different kinds of sea like spiders and crabs searched the area looking for their next meal. As the schools of fish swam together in perfect harmony, they suddenly scattered in different directions. From behind the reef, 3 divers appeared. Two men and a woman swam along the reef taking pictures with their special underwater cameras. One of the men spotted a large spider digging through the sand. Carefully, he picked it up, sneaked up behind the woman, and placed it on her shoulder. Then he quickly swam backwards so as not to be seen. It didn’t take long for the woman to notice something tickling her skin. She turned her head to see the spider making its way up her shoulder and towards her neck.
“Ah!” She screamed and jumped to the side. The sudden burst of movement caused the spider to fall off her shoulder and back down to the sandy bottom. As she frantically brushed her shoulder off, the man behind her threw his head back and laughed like crazy as big air bubbles poured out of his air tank. Furiously, the woman swam up in front of him.
“Darn you, Sanosuke! How many times have I told you?! Don't do that!” She shouted through the intercom in her air mask. Sanosuke grinned and pulled himself together.
“Ah, come on, Megumi. This is the ocean. Anything and everything can be unpredictable. It's not my fault you’re scared of spiders.” Megumi crossed her eyes and frowned.
“First of all, the only thing I see around here that’s unpredictable is you. Second, there is a huge difference between land spiders and underwater spiders. And third, I am not afraid of spiders. They’re just creepy that’s all. The only reason I reacted is because that one surprised me.” Sanosuke rolled his eyes and smirked.
“Sure you did. Than again, if that’s what you want to believe.” That was all it took to throw Megumi over the edge. She grabbed hold of the air pipes around his shoulders and began to shake him like mad.
“I swear you are the most annoying, immature, stubborn, pushy, obnoxious, pain in the neck that ever walked the planet!” As she shook him, all Sanosuke did was grin.
“Hmm, that’s funny. The way I see it, you just described yourself.” He teased.
“Why you! I ought a!” By now, Megumi was shaking him so hard their bodies were enveloped in a whirlpool of bubbles. After shaking him like crazy for several moments, Megumi finally let go and dropped her arms exhausted. Sanosuke just grinned.
“Had enough yet?” Megumi growled.
“No! As a matter of fact, I haven’t!” Sanosuke just shrugged.
“Whatever you say.” Before Megumi could respond, he swam away towards the reef.
“Hey! Get back here! I’m not done with you!” Megumi tried to go after him, but her arms were still too tired to go very fast. Sanosuke folded his hands behind his head and swam backwards grinning.
