Chapter 1

It was December and everyone in school was having their Winter break, except the group that consists of 12 guys, who could hardly catch a break. They still had to come to school for practice – since they were aiming to become an idol – five times a week which was more than enough incentive for the leader to get fired up with even crazier practicing.

One day, it had gone as usual by the end of a day's Kyungsoo, Sehun and the rest of the maknae line were the last to stay because they were tasked with cleaning up. The others had gone to the showers, some had left early, bidding them goodbye. Kai and Tao were in charge of sweeping the sweat and dirt off the floor, while Sehun and Kyungsoo were in charge of taking the speakers and microphone back to the other room.

It started when Sehun and Kyungsoo entered the room bringing the equipment with them. The immediate smell of dusts and unpleasantness filling the space attacked Kyungsoo's nostrils. He was busy coughing and rubbing his eyes that he missed the strange look Sehun shot him, nor did he see the flash of wildness that stayed in those eyes.

"Hyung..."

Kyungsoo had heard him stutter in uncertainty. Kyungsoo made a noncommittal sound, of "hmm?"

A gulp.

"You... you smelled."

Kyungsoo's hands stilled. He shot the maknae a look of mild annoyance.

"Why thank you, for stating the obvious, Sehun. We did just finish up a day's worth of training after all. I am very much soaked in sweat at the moment. I am aware that sweat does, in fact, have a smell." He said in dismissal, and then decided to ignore Sehun and finish up soon so he could get a cup of cappucino since he was too tired.

"No, dammit. It's - it's different!" Sehun sounded frustrated. It was strange, given the meager circumstances. Kyungsoo turned to give him a questioning look. He cocked an eyebrow up when he saw a flush gracing the Sehun's face.

The Heavy Seed's mouth seemed to run at a speed that Kyungsoo could barely comprehend.

"You smelled! You do realize you didn't actually have a scent before!" Sehun ran a hand over his hair, eyes darting away. Still flushed. He started to radiate a heat kind of scent that jerked Kyungsoo's attention.

But he somehow managed to redirect Sehun's own scent in favor of curiosity of what he just said.

"What do you mean by me having, and not having a scent?" He cocked his head to one side, still didn't understand the implication.

No reply.

No explanation came up. Or even a sound from the other man.

"Sehun-ah? Are you alright?"

Sehun's flush seemed to worsen. Kyungsoo almost thought he might have caught a cold and he felt worry began to rise up his guts as Sehun radiated heat like a furnace. He resisted the sudden urge to seek comfy warmth against a sick person even if it was so cold around this time of the year, maybe Suho's making them practicing had finally wore him down?

Decided it was best to examine the maknae condition first, Kyungsoo took two steps forward and pressed a pale palm against Sehun's forehead. Whoa, he did feel like a furnace, he was burning! Sehun stiffened at the touch. When Kyungsoo was about to mention this, his senses were suddenly overwhelmed by Sehun's scents. The thick scent crept up his nostrils and he didn't know how it had inexplicably rose a reaction out of him. A strange sort of reaction. A heady swirl within his tummy. His mind seemed to drift off slightly.

It grew stronger with the close proximity. But it was... not unpleasant.

Kyungsoo began to lean a bit into the scent; he felt a comfortable lull about it, attractive... and strange. A giddying kind of strange. He breathed in the scent deeply, closing his eyes. A second later, he heard a hitch of breath drawn sharply from above him and he was suddenly shoved away by the shoulders. His eyes flared open in confusion and Sehun was staring at him, hands gripping tightly at his shoulders and his eyes —
