You are sitting next to Darren at a booth with bowls of ice cream in front of the both of you. It's only your second date but you're already much more comfortable around each other. The first date was incredibly awkward, but somehow you still found each other both charming and wanted to see each other again. You and Darren barely knew anything about one another on the first date, so you spent two weeks texting and calling, asking questions and answering. You already felt like you had a new best friend, and he couldn't deny feeling the same way.

"Is it any good?" you ask, looking down at your own bowl of ice cream, which remained untouched by the spoon you are loosely holding in your hand.

"You tell me!" he replied, hardly having swallowed his last spoonful of ice cream. You couldn't help but laugh at the way his long, curly hair kept getting into his bowl of ice cream every time he looked down to get another spoonful. "Why would I have brought you here if their ice cream wasn't any good? Try it!" he insisted, gesturing to your bowl. You don't even know what flavor it is since he insisted on picking your flavor for you.

You started laughing softly, "good point." You then collect a spoonful of your ice cream and put into your mouth. As the cool, creamy taste fills your taste buds, you look over at him and see him looking at you with his soft, hazel eyes. He's leaning against the table and has another spoonful of ice cream by his face. As his elbow leans against the table and his chin rests in his hand, his elbow somehow manages to slip from underneath him and slide across the table, causing his head to fall and nearly hit the table. Instead of hitting the table, it simply hits his bowl and causes his ice cream to be flung against him and douce him in the messy mint green substance.

There was a slight moment of silence as you both absorbed what just happened and took a moment to look at the giant goofball sitting in front of you with ice cream covering his chest and some of his hair.

After a few seconds of silence, you both simultaneously erupt with laughter and you helplessly grab a paper napkin to try and clean him up a bit.

"So I guess you wouldn't believe me now if I said I were the star of a very popular theatre production and just landed a spot on the show Glee?" he asked jokingly, still trying to recover from laughing at himself as he lazily wiped some of the ice cream out of his hair.

"No," you teased "I can very honestly say that the guy sitting in front of me right now does not seem like the kind of person who could star on a TV show" you laughed at him.

"That's fair enough, I think we'll have to go on at least ONE successful date where I don't trip you or spill ice cream on myself before you can believe something like that." he chuckled at himself.

You continue to eat your ice cream, asking more questions about each other and laughing as Darren continues to make jokes about himself. After you finish your ice cream, he decides to order another bowl for himself and requested two spoons so you could share from his.

It's your turn to ask the question next, so you decide to go with an easy one as Darren is seemingly lusting over the ice cream thats been put in front of him. "Favorite Disney movie?"

He answers quickly, still looking down at his bowl, "Easy, Aladdin. Yours?" He then looks up at you.

You scoop up a spoonful of his ice cream with your spoon and put it towards him, "Beauty and the Beast." He eats the ice cream from your spoon and nods.

"Makes sense." He responds, smirking slightly as he looks down. You look at him confused and cock your head to the side. After seeing your confused expression, he replies, "Why else would you go out on a date with a beast like me?" he smiles at you. You loved when he smiled because it was always genuine and adorable. He didn't just smile with his mouth but with his eyes too. He always just looked so happy when he smiled.

He looked down and looked like he was thinking of another question to ask you. You see a half-smirk suddenly appear on his face and he puts his spoon back in his almost empty bowl. You do the same and look at him, head still tilted slightly.

"What is your honest opinion of me? Even after watching me cover myself in ice cream like an idiot." he chuckled.

You quickly return the smirk and lean against the table.

"Well, I think you're very cute and handsome. You're super sweet and charming. Oh, and you manage to make 'goofy' sexy somehow." He laughs as he too leans against the table, careful not to slip this time, and he looks at you with a cheeky smile on his face. You smile back, then raise your eyebrow, "what about me?".

He places his chin on his palm again and looks into your deep blue eyes, "Hm.. I think you're beautiful. You have a great smile and amazing eyes. I really love the way your hair falls in your face sometimes because it gives me an excuse to fix it for you and push it behind your ear. You're down-to-earth..." His voice becomes lower and more of a mutter as he trails off and continues to compliment you, "you have a good sense of humor and a great movie and song taste. You're very kind-hearted. Simple yet complex. You're adorable...and absolutely perfect."

You feel yourself blush, not knowing what to say. "Th-thank you," you manage to reply, covering your bright red cheeks with your hands.

Darren chuckles and mutters, "adorable" before taking his spoon and scooping another spoonful to feed you. You decide in your mind that this date with him is remarkable. You decide that no matter what embarrassing things he does, you'll somehow always find it adorable. It ends up being the first of many memorable dates you have with Darren Everett Criss.
