"Evie, wake your lazy ass up! The boys will be here soon!"
I sighed and rolled over in my bed, covering my head with a pillow to block out the yells of my roommate, Juliette.
After a few minutes of not falling back asleep, I decided I might as well get up and get ready for the day. Jules' boyfriend, Ted, and his best friend were coming over to finalize the plans for our week long camping trip that begins tomorrow.
Our junior year at the university had ended and we wanted to go out and relax before the fall semester began.
I dragged my feet into the bathroom and cringed at my reflection. Last night I had a few drinks and fell asleep with my makeup on.
My eyeliner was smeared underneath my hazel eyes making me look like I got into a fight, I had clumps of mascara holding parts of my eyelashes together, and lipstick smudged around my mouth. All in all, I looked like I was about to graduate from clown college.
I took a shower making sure to thoroughly cleanse my face. I grabbed my mint body washed and instantly relaxed as the scent invaded my senses. Making my way out of the shower I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around myself and made my way into my room.
I screamed when I realized someone was sitting on my bed.
"Holy hell, Ash! What the fuck are you doing in my room?!" I yelled at him.
Ash was Ted's best friend. We did not get along one bit. He annoyed the shit out of me as I did to him. His huge ego didn't help him get on my good side either.
I scowled when all he did was laugh in response. He was sitting on my bed in a grey v-neck, a black bomber jacket over, and dark well fitted jeans. He sure was nice to look at but dealing with his personality wasn't worth it.
"Geez, I think you popped my eardrums with that scream." He squinted his light green eyes as he wiggled his finger around his ear.
"Get the fuck over it and get out," I growled as I pointed towards the door.
"You know, you have the mouth of a sailor. You really should work on that. I just came to tell you to hurry up. We're all waiting in the living room," he said as he got up from his position on my bed.
He stretched his arms over his head as he started moving towards the door. I got a nice view as his shirt raised a bit over his belly button showing the top of his briefs and the happy trail leading into them.
I mentally scolded myself for staring so blatantly.
"Oh and I heard the shower running and didn't want to miss the chance of seeing you in a towel," he laughed with a wink, and quickly left my room before I could respond.
"Prick!" I yelled through the door even though I wasn't truly mad.
Sure I cuss every once in a while, but it tends to become more prominent when I'm around Asher. He brings out my inner bitch.
I quickly got dressed in some leggings and an oversized sweatshirt, threw my light brown tresses into a messy ponytail, and made my way to the living room where Jules, Ted, and Ash were currently chatting.
Our living room only had two couches. The larger one was taken by Ted and Jules, who was sitting against the arm with her legs on her boyfriends lap. That of course left me with the only available seat next to Ash. I reluctantly flopped down into the cushion and made myself comfortable as he started talking.
"Okay so now that we're all here, let's just make sure we have everything in place for tomorrow. Ted and I will take care of the tent and cooking equipment, so we just need you girls to get the fishing rods and gear together. We'll stop to get bait once we get closer to the campsite. Everyone agreed that we'll rent a van since my cousin is coming along. If it's okay with you three, she wanted to invite two of her friends along."
He paused from his speech waiting for out answers.
Ted shrugged his shoulders showing he didn't care if they came. Juliette and I had only met his cousin, Aurora, once before. She seemed fun so I figured her friends would just give me and Jules some more girls to hang out with.
"I don't really mind, it might make it more fun," I answered looking towards Jules. She nodded her head to agree with me.
"Okay then," Ash started. "Then that's settled. All of us should already have our bags packed and ready to go. Make sure everyone packs some extra snacks."
Me being the growing girl I am, loves to eat. I had already packed a surplus of candies, granola bars, and chips into my pack.
My mind had drifted towards pizza and Oreo blizzards before I realized Ash had finished talking and Jules and Ted had left the room.
I got up to get a bowl of cereal since I had yet to have any breakfast. I reached up to grab a bowl from the cabinet, when I felt a body pressed against my back.
"I'll be sure to save you some space in my sleeping bag incase you come to your senses and realize that you really do want me," Ash said lowly in my ear before giving my butt a light smack.
I couldn't help but feel a bit of pleasure as I felt his warm breath on the side of my neck. Although we don't get along we can still acknowledge that the other is quite attractive.
I broke out of my reverie and shoved my elbow into his stomach. I heard a gust of air leave his lungs and secretly smirked to myself.
"Your elbows have the strength of ten men," he groaned while holding his stomach, still slightly out of breath.
"You should know better by now to keep your hands off me," I replied as I made my way to the fridge.
"You can atleast save me my pride and not make me look like a pussy." He scowled at me.
"Trust me, I don't have to try, you do that all by yourself," I giggled.
Ash looked up and flipped me of with both hands.

The day dragged on as we got everything ready. I didn't run into Ash again and for that I was happy.
It was night time already and I was sitting on the couch watching a horror movie and eating popcorn. Jules was out with Ted so I was home alone.
I jumped when i heard my cell start to ring loudly. I scrambled off the couch in search of it before the person hung up.
Finally finding it on the kitchen counter, I began to walk back to the couch while looking at the name on the incoming call.
It was Asher. I debated for a second on letting it go to voicemail but decided to answer
"Sup, bitch?" I greeted him.
"Hello to you too, asshole. I'm just checking in with everyone to make sure everyone got their jobs done," he replied.
"Everything's good on my side," I managed to respond around a mouthful of popcorn.
"Alrighty, well I guess I'll see you in the morning. Hopefully I'll get a glimpse of you without the towel this time," he chuckled.
"You wish pretty boy," I mumbled, rolling my eyes.
"I really do."
He hung up.
Good lord. I turned my attention back to the movie thinking of the week that's to come with Ash.
