Callie is confused. Madison is energetic.

CALLIE

(confused)

How did I get here?

Madison giggles.

MADISON

Oh, you are drunk. I better get you some coffee.

Madison turns to go, and Callie GRIPS HER ARM TIGHTLY.

CALLIE

No! Please d-don't go!

MADISON

Here. Let's get you over to a chair.

TRACKING SHOT

Madison leads Callie over to nearby table. Callie sits in a chair. Madison walks off to the bar, and a tall teenage boy walks over. He has short black hair and green eyes. Blake is wearing a cobalt colored suit and black pants. He is holding a small white towel.

BLAKE

Hey, Callie, I saw you slip.

CALLIE

Do I know you?

BLAKE

We just talked ten minutes ago. You said you like horses.

CALLIE

Sorry, I'm not feeling like myself. I just hit my head pretty hard. I forgot your name, sorry.

BLAKE

Blake Harrison. And I got you a towel for your arm.

CALLIE

Thanks.

MEDIUM SHOT-CALLIE

Callie wipes the drink off her arm. She puts the cloth on the table.

MEDIUM SHOT-BLAKE

Blake picks it up and puts it on the tray of a nearby worker, without looking. Madison walks back over to Callie, holding a coffee cup.

BLAKE

Well nice talking to you for the first time again, Callie.

Callie laughs lightly. Blake leaves, smiling.

TWO SHOT-CALLIE LEFT MADISON RIGHT

MADISON

(smiling)

Here, Callie. It's java.

Callie takes a SIP OF COFFEE, and LOOKING DISGUSTED. She swallows.

CLOSE UPSIDE ANGLE ON CALLIE'S RIGHT

CALLIE

Is this pure black coffee?

CLOSEUP SIDE ANGLE ON MADISON'S LEFT

MADISON

Yes. Why?

REVERSE ANGLE

CALLIE

It's terrible.

REVERSE ANGLE

MADISON

Consider it emergency medicine. Oh, silly me. Where are my manners? Call me Madison. Isn't it fun, being able to party and wear little things like these again, darling, instead of sitting around watching reruns with crochet? Or maybe mahjong with you, dear?

REVERSE ANGLE

CALLIE

What?

REVERSE ANGLE

MADISON

Oh don't play dummy, I know you're a renter. Flawless skin, good manners, no neon hair colors. Is it your first time?

Callie nods.

MADISON

See that girl there? Green dress? Renter. And the girl to her left in pink.

CALLIE

That guy-Blake-that was just over here's definitely a renter. He hits all the marks.

MADISON

Oh no. Asked him about which holo won a Grammy 10 years before the war. He was completely clueless.

Madison giggles.

CALLIE

Now that you mention it, he had a small scar on his chin. They wouldn't let that go.

CUT TO -Outside

MADISON

Well it was nice meeting you Callie.

Madison hands a ticket to an elderly worker, and steps into a green sports car. She drives off.

Callie does the same, but the car that pulls up is practically a spaceship.Callie sits inside.
