Marry You
“Marry me!” Paul half yelled at the dark haired beauty standing beside him. Still, she shook her head. Stubbornly refusing to be his wife.
Paul ran a hand through his hair. He was easily frustrated by Rachel, all he wanted was for them to marry and start a family of their own. He had proposed many times, each more desperate than the last. This was his seventh attempt.
“Please.” He whispered, close to tears. No other woman had made him feel like this. No other woman had given him such emotions. He wanted them to be together in every sense of the word. Marriage was something very high up on his list, while on hers it was more in the middle- bottom section.
Rachel took his face in her small hands and bumped noses with him. “I love you.” She breathed. “Isn’t that enough for you?” it was his turn to shake his head. “I want you to be happy.” He muttered.
“I am happy.” She insisted. “Why can’t you see that? Every day when I’m with you I’m happy. One day, I would love to be your wife. Just not yet.” She went to move her hands from his face but he trapped them under his own fingers.
Slowly, he brought his lips to hers and kissed her so sweetly she thought that her legs would buckle beneath her.
“I’d better get dinner ready.” Rachel made as if to move away from Pauls body, but his hands were suddenly on her waist. “If you won’t marry me, then I won’t let you out of my sight until we are.”
Rachel rolled her eyes and pushed his hands from her. “You don’t let me out of your sight anyway.” She turned her back on him and made to start the oven up. It was an older one and usually needed a kick to start it up. She flicked the radio on and tried on concentrate on making dinner for three hungry men. Not only did she have a pestering man asking her to marry him, she also had a werewolf brother, and a human father.
“What can I do to make you say yes?” Paul slouched against the wall nearest her. He loved watching her make dinner. She had a lovely body, not that she showed it often. Rachel was fond of big t- shirts and jeans. Not that Paul minded. It meant less competition for him. Half the men in La Push lusted after Leah Clearwater and the other half lusted Miss Rachel Black. At the moment, they were the only woman who had a pretty face and weren’t married.
And everyone knew what Leah was like.
“Nothing.” Rachel skipped around the tiny kitchen, pouring things in there, stirring something in here. She looked so at home. Paul had a vision of her cooking in there one house, with her stomach round with his child. He smiled at the thought.
“What are you thinking about?” Rachel asked him, eyeing the stupid grin plastered on his face. “Nothing naughty I hope.”
“It’s extremely naughty.” Paul slid behind her and encircled his thick arms around her small body. “I think...” He paused for a moment. “I should get you pregnant, and then you’ll have to marry me.” He nuzzled his face into the side of her neck, smelling her gorgeous natural perfume and smiled again.
“Paul Lahote, I don’t think you could get anyone pregnant even if you tried.” She sounded a half hearted, like her mind was on something else.
“We’ll have to see.” He whispered, close to her ear. She turned her head towards him and smiled. Paul saw an advantage and kissed Rachel firmly on her lips, distracting her from everything else. She turned around fully to face him, bringing her hands up around his head and curling her fingers into his hair.
“I think we should get to the bedroom.” Paul suggested, rubbing his hands up and down her body, making her feel warm inside. “I don’t think we should.” Rachel shook her head but kissed Paul again. “Right. We shouldn’t.” Paul agreed, edging towards their bedroom.
“Defiantly not.” Rachel leant her head to the side so that Paul could continue kissing her. In a sudden spurt of desire, Paul grabbed her waist and hefted her up so she had her legs wrapped securely around his body. Neither of them stopped kissing the other.
“Nice.” Rachel whispered. “I thought so.” Paul breathed back. He stumbled back a few paces until his back nudged the bedroom door. He kept one had around Rachel while the other groped for the handle. They flopped down onto the bed, Rachel sitting on Paul’s chest and trying to clear her head. But then she decided, what the hell?
She leant forward, stretching her body out because she knew Paul liked that, and kissed the man she loved on the mouth.
“Yeah?” Paul whispered. His hair already sticking to his forehead with sweat. His whole body was drenched. This always happened; it was hard trying to be romantic when you’re all sweaty.
“Yeah.” Rachel was sure that she wanted this. Wanted this now. It wasn’t the first time they had done the deed, as it were...but it had been almost two months since the last time they had shared each other so intimately.
The lovers entwined their bodies and felt each other as if they had never felt another before.

Half an hour later Rachel and Paul were lying next to each other on their small, cramped bed and were panting heavily.
“Lord!” Rachel rolled onto her side and looked at Paul. “You sure know how to make me feel like a woman.” She kissed his wet forehead moved closer to him, their bodies almost touching but not quite. Paul reached for Rachel’s hand and they lay there like that for a moment or so.
“We should...do this again sometime.” Paul was exhausted. Sex with Rachel always wore him out. She was a wild one.
“Hm.” Rachel’s lips touched Pauls in a brief kiss before she sat up and tried to locate her clothes. “Uh. Paul. What did you do with my clothes?”
“I really can’t remember. I was a little preoccupied with taking them off.” Paul didn’t help Rachel as she staggered around the room trying to find clothes. He was too busy admiring her naked body. “Have I ever told that you’re the most beautiful woman in the world?” He tucked his arms behind his head as she threw a pair of jeans at him.
“Once. I don’t think you were sober.” Rachel hurriedly pulled her body into a t-shirt of Pauls and a pair of her jeans that she accidently put on backwards.
“Harsh.” Paul beckoned her over to him. “I love you.” He put his arms around her hips and pressed his face into her stomach. “And I would really, really, really love it, if you could...y’know...marry me?”
As he lifted his hopeful face back up to hers, he didn’t expect much. He certainly didn’t expect Rachel, the woman he loved, to be nodding.
“Yes.” She spoke softly, not wanting to destroy the moment. “I’ll marry you, Paul.” She pressed her forehead against his.
“Thank you.” Paul sighed. “What made you say yes? It wasn’t this was it?” He waved his hand behind them, towards the crumpled bed sheets and the mattress that was half off the bed. “Because as much as I love you, sex is hard work. I’ll have to limit you once we’re married. No more than twice a night. I’m pretty sure this is supposed to be the other way around. Y’know...the woman telling the man no sex...” He stopped talking. Rachel was looking at the floor, not saying a word.
“I said yes because...” She caught Pauls hand and pressed it against her belly. “I’m pregnant.”
Paul’s mouth fell open. “A baby?” His eyes were alight with joy. “Rachel! A baby! I’m going to be a dad!” He seemed to think about this for a second.
“HOLY SHIT! I’M GOING TO BE A DAD!”
