Confused Love

Chapter 8: Ronaldo

Although today is Royalty and I's anniversary, I'm not that excited. It's not that I lost feelings for her. I just can't get over the fact that I cheated on her. I want to tell her what happened but it'll only break her apart. I love her too much to hurt her like that.

She told me that Dylan was giving her a ride today. I felt a little jealous but I let it slide because I know that she wouldn't do anything to hurt me. Also, I've already done enough, even if she doesn't know why I've done.

While I'm at my locker, I see Royalty come towards me and it filled me with so much joy. I grabbed her by the waist and kissed her. She pushed me away but only because too many people were around. I smiled right in her face and showed her so much love as if I didn't betray her.

After a little bit of small talk, we both went to our classes. It was so hard to focus because of everything that's going on in my mind. The guilt is killing me. Why did I do it?

When I sat down at my table during lunch, I noticed that Alicia wasn't here.

"Mike, where's Alicia?"

"She stayed home today. She said she's feeling a little sick but she should be back tomorrow," he informed me.

"Oh okay. Well at least she'll be fine."

"Ron, is something wrong? Looks like something's bothering you."

"It's nothing. Don't worry."

"It's something. We've been friends for too long. Now, tell me what's up with you."

"If I tell you, will promise not to tell anyone?"

"You know I won't tell a soul. I put that on my life."

"Alright. On Saturday after I dropped you off, I went to Alicia's house to also drop her off. Before leaving, she offered me a drink since it was so hot outside. I went in and we drank some soda while watching Scary Movie 2."

"That's a funny ass movie," Mike said.

"I know but let me finish. While we was watching tv, she got up to change and when she came back into the living room, she had on shorts and a tank top without a bra. I tried my best not to look. I stretched my arms out and accidentally hit her breasts. I apologized but she grabbed my hand and put it on her breast. After that, you can probably guess what happened."

"Basically, you cheated on Royalty two days before your anniversary. That's messed up man."

"I know and I want to tell her but it'll only break her heart."

"I'll keep it a secret but you need to figure this mess out."

"Thanks man. I will do what I can."

It was kinda a relief to tell someone what happened. I know Mike won't tell anyone because he's a real friend.

It's finally time to leave and I get to bring Royalty to my house. I asked my mom to set up everything while I was at school before she leaves for work. I paid for everything. She's cool so I know she did it and I'm thankful.

When we walked into the house, Royalty smiled when she saw the rose petals on the floor. I picked her up and carried her to my bedroom. We had an amazing anniversary and she made me feel like the happiest man alive.

After we finished having fun, I had to take her home since it's a school night. We talked during the drive and she smiled the whole time. Once I finally reached her house, I gave her a goodnight kiss and drove off after she went into the house.

When I got back home, I went up to my room and cried myself to sleep. I really messed up.
