Hi Ags!
Good morning Mr. Kidney murderer! I need to run some errands, so in case you wake up before I get back, (which is, I bet, highly impossible.), breakfast is on the table. Just heat it up, hon!
--- Lea <3
That little heart at the end of her name drew a wide smile on my face even if I feel my head aching badly.
Lauren never did this for me.
I shook my head and breathed out sharply. I didn't mean to say such thing but it's true. I shrugged the thoughts off and decided to just stand and do my morning routines before invading Lea's place.
By 11:30am, I got myself ready. The breakfast Lea is referring to in her note would probably be eaten as lunch now. I am on my way to her kitchen when I noticed Lea sleeping soundly on her couch.
Oh Lea, you're an actual angel who always looks after me. I strode towards her discreetly, careful not to wake her up. I sat on the floor next to her so I could have a better view of my angel sleeping so cute at the moment.
I stared at her gorgeous face and started reminiscing. The memories of how Lea became my close friend flashed back in my head. I could vividly remember how Lea can never say no to me even if it means ruining her own plans.
"Lei, samahan mo naman ako oh." She gave me a questioning look and then glared at me. I know exactly why: she'd already got her own plans. And let me guess what is it, she has a lot of law books to read over the weekend.
"Ags, magbabasa pa ako. Alam kong wala ka ng schooling na inaalala pero ako meron pa. Naalala mo? Nasa law school ako at mara—"
"Kaya nga!" Sabi ko na nga ba tama ako. She looked at me with a slight frown on her face seeming to ask me to spill what's on my head.
"Just pack your things. The usual things you bring for long rides and you might need swimsuit." I saw her jaw clench. Vacation isn't and wouldn't be one plan she'll include in her planner. I walked closer to her and closed her mouthed that's slightly open.
"I'd carry your books for you if you need me to. But trust me Lea, you need this." I know she would say no but before she could even decline my offer, I used my charm on her. I smiled widely exposing those deep dimples that I got and gave her my most alluring eyes.
Few moments more and she's just staring at me, squinting her eyes. Looks like my charms aren't working. If she doesn't want to pack her things, I'd do it for her. I went inside her closet and started packing. But before I could open the drawer for her underclothing, she stopped me.
"Tabi nga! Ako na! Pucha, ang pakialamero mo talaga!" I smiled victoriously. I watched her pack knowing too well that she'll just stuff back her things if I won't.

We took the amphibious helicopter to Kalanggaman Island, Leyte. And I swear, I'd pay millions just to see her face lit up this way again. That beautiful smile drew a smile on my face too.
"You like it?" she nodded, maintaining the wide, ecstatic smile."I love it. Thank you, Ags." I smiled at her. What else could I do? I just made this gorgeous lady in front of me happy.
"Why are you smiling?" Lea's voice jolted me back to reality. I watch her sat and try to regain her full consciousness.
"You look like an idiot smiling at me while staring. You okay?" I frowned at her. She always, always, calls me idiot.
"I'm not an idiot." She looked at me. "Did I say you are one? I said you look like one." She has a point. She stood and walked over her kitchen counter to get a glass for water. I noticed how short her dress was.
"You went out on a meeting wearing that? Who did you meet with?" she looked at me with that stare like she's currently judging me. What? Ano na namang sinabi ko? She seemed to have read my mind. She chuckled.
"You sounded like an overprotective boyfriend." Did I? She saw the food she prepared this morning. She looks displeased to see the meal untouched.
"I just woke up too. Explains why hindi pa nagagalaw yan. Init mo na lang. Sabay tayo kumain."
She heated the food and served it for me again. She bowed her head on her arms that were resting on the table. "You okay?" I noticed her shake her head and mumble something I didn't quite hear clearly.
"What?!" she glared at me and got her head rest on her arms again. "My head aches, jerk" she uttered. "And this is your fault so keep your mouth shut."
I got confused. Ako? Kasalanan ko? Bakit? Natulog lang naman ako buong gabi. Hanggang tanghali pa nga. Bakit kasa—
"Wag mo ng pagurin ang sarili mo kakaalala dahil hindi mo talaga maalala lahat sapagkat lasing ka!"
"Lalim nung sapagkat ah." She almost threw the fork towards me. She hates it when I tease her Filipino words and accent.
She threw me a glare instead and told me to just continue eating. I asked if she wants soup for her headache: she refused. I should be the one served with soup, she said. She even apologized for not being able to prepare one for me.
As she close her eyes to cope with her throbbing head, I stared at her again. I felt how she's struggling to cope with the pain.
"Bakit ba kasi ang aga mong nagising? Kulang ka siguro sa tulog." I asked as I stand to clean up the table. I am washing the plates I used and she remained on her seat.
"I didn't even sleep." She whispered but it's just enough for me to hear. "Buti na lang talaga bukas pa yung wedding rehearsal n'yo. Finally, makikita ko na din yung babaeng nagkamali sa'yo." Oo nga pala, may wedding rehearsal bukas. Hindi pa s'ya nagc-confirm. She glanced at me and suddenly, her eyelids fell. Inaantok pa talaga.
After washing the dishes, I found her sleeping again. I lifted her up, bridal style, so she could comfortably sleep on her bed.
"Put me down." She demanded weakly. "Sshh." I smiled and kissed her on her forehead. I told her to just sleep.
"You take your rest okay?" I put her down her bed and sat beside her. "Does your head aches still?" she nodded.
"Kung bakit ba kasi naglasing ka kagabi. I had to watch over you ng magdamag kasi nagsusuka ka." She told me this, eyes still closed. I smiled at her still. She had no choice. She took care of me and now she's complaining.
"Nagrereklamo ka d'yan eh you could've let me drink and take care of myself. I can do th—"
"No you can't." she smiled slightly and opened those beautiful, sleepy eyes a bit and looked straight mine. "You need me, right?" I smiled. She always knows how to make that smile grow.
"Aminin mo na kasi Ags, you need me." She insisted. I chuckled.
"Oo na. Kailangan kita. Sorry na, mahal. Yan tuloy, nahihirapan ka."
