Book 4: Ashfire's Offspring

Introduction

(Cloudstar's Pov)

"Cloudstar come quick!" Petalclaw came running towards me. "What is it?" I answered. "It's Sugarpelt she had her litter this morning. " she said out of breath. "Wait what? Who did she mate with? And how come I didn't know." I said stopping her by the tail. "What do you mean? You didn't know that she was with Ashfire?" she turned around and tilted her head as she looked at me. "WHAT NO I HAD NO CLUE LAST I CHECKED THEY HATED EACH OTHER!! WHAT THE HELL HOWCOME NO ONE TOLD ME!!" I yelled sprinting to Stormfur's den. "Well the whole clan already knew we assumed you did too." Petalclaw stared at me.

I walked in to see Sugarpelt surrounding three kits. One was a silver tabby with blue eyes. Another was a calico with hazel eyes. And last but no least there was a all white cat with green eyes. "Sugarpelt How come you never told me about you and Ashfire." I stood at the entrance. She turned her head and smiled. "I'm sorry I thought you knew. Would you like to meet the kits?" she asked. I walked over to her. "The silver tabby is named Winterkit, the calico is named Rainkit, and the white kit is named Lillykit. Lillykit is the only female." Sugarpelt put her nose to Rainkit and and smiled.

Ashfire soon walked in. He touched his nose to Sugarpelt's and licked her cheek. She smiled as she picked up her kits to show him. He smiled and you could see the love in his eyes. Seeing them finally get along after years of hating each other made me happy. Ashfire turned around. "Hey Cloudstar." He sat Lillykit down and came over to greet me. "Hey Ashfire. So these are all yours?" I smiled. "Yeah," he pulled me over to the side, "Don't tell her I said this but Winterkit is my favorite. I'm gonna raise him to be the better version on his father." I saw the passion in his eyes. After a long period of silence I finally said "You really love her," I walked over and stoped when my mouth got to his ear and said, "Break her heart I will hunt you down like your my prey when I'm hunting. I will murder you and eat you for breakfast. Sugarpelt is like my sister to me, like Gracestar she cared about me more than anyone. Got that." He paused as his eyes widened. "Okay great I look forward to being an aunt." I smiled and walked over to Sugarpelt.

"What did you say to Ashfire." She looked at me. "Oh nothing much. Just that I'll murder him and feast on his insides I he breaks you heart." I said as Rainkit rolled over in his back. "Aww so cute." she looked at Rainkit and smiled. "I feel as if he's going to turn out like me." We exchanged looks and chuckled. "So he's gonna turn out to be a protective derp." I joked. She laughed. "Well I guess so."
