I had fallen asleep on the couch around 4 o'clock in the afternoon and was awoken by knocking at my door. I jumped awake and looked around the room, confused and groggy. Why would anyone be knocking on the door? No one every came to mine, like ever.
Poppy, my mum, and my dad weren't home so they must be here for me.
I stood up and rang a hand through my messy hair before walking to the door and pulling it open. I was shocked to see Louise standing there. Her blonde hair put up in a messy bun, her phone and two coffees squeezed into her hands.
She walked in before I could say anything and went straight to the couch.
"We need to talk," she said putting her phone away in her bag and setting down the coffees. She gestured towards me as if to say that one of them was for me. I nodded in thanks as I picked the cup up and took a sip. Peppermint hot chocolate, my favourite.
"About what," I asked sitting down on the couch across from her.
"Zoe."
"What about her?" I asked. I was already worried for this conversation. It was obviously very important if Louise had come all the way from New Hampton just to talk to me.
"Why are you guys fighting?" she asked looking at me expectantly.
I was about to lie and say that I had no idea but then I just let everything loose. I just said everything. And I mean everything. I basically just sat there and talked to Louise for hours. And she listened. I just talked and she just listened. And it was nice to get everything out for once.
