New York, the city that never sleeps

continuous white noise of police cars and screams of car horns

some people would say this place is "too loud" or "the people are ignorant"

me ?? I love the smell of coffee and the bitterness of smokers, the wind that whips at your cheeks and the hustle and bustle of uni students who tuck their books into their chests

I call this place home. with my small 14th story studio apartment, with a balcony where I absorb all of city below me and take in view of the skyline that still takes my breath away.

a mattress lies in the middle of my cream room. a pile of books next to it with a lamp on top. plants scattered around my room along with my canvases. fairy light drooping from the ceiling and a display rack with all my clothes hanging off.

But my balcony is my haven. Fairy lights, candles, blankets and my type writer to which I write down my thoughts and my many discontinued movie ideas/scripts.
