"Brian! Wake up!" Brian raised his head within seconds. "I'm up mom!" He sat up straight, he had fallen asleep at his desk that night.

Brian held his head with his hands. Sleeping on a desk wasn't really sleeping at all.

He kicked his feet against his desk, his chairs wheels squeaked as is moved along his room to a mirror.

Brian ran his fingers through his hair while admiring himself in the mirror. He stood up and pushed his chair back to his desk.

Slowly dragging his feet he makes his way out of his room.

"Good morning sunshine." Brian's dad looked up over the paper that was in his hands. "Hey dad, why aren't you at work?" Brian slumped into a chair at the kitchen table next to his dad.

"Eh, decided I'd do some yard work for your mother today." Brains mother rolled her eyes, she snapped her fingers creating a fire at her finger tips. The flame danced on the tip of her fingers as she lit the stove.

Brians family lived on Firesteen, a world made of molten lava and rock. Everyone on that planet had some type of power that involved fire or lava. His family was gifted with the ability to control fire.

"I better get to school, bye guys." Brain quickly stood up. "You haven't even eaten breakfast, what's the rush?" His mother asked with a worried look.

"I told Matt I'd help him study before first period." Brian shrugged as he opened the door and slipped out.

Brian ran to his bike and hopped on. Slowly making his way down the road to school.

He peddled and peddled, focusing on the rhythm of his feet.

"Hey dork!" Brian turned his head to see his friend Matt walking down the crosswalk toward their school.

"Hey, what's up." Brian asked. He eased on the break, as his bike slowed down. "Headed to school to talk to David about the party on Earth."

Shivers raced down Brians back at the word. Earth was like a mall. Everyone loved going there. It was full of cool stuff. Trees, rivers, and waterfalls. Brian loved the way waterfalls looked, but he had never seen one in person.

     "I'll come with." Brain nodded.
