Chapter 37: They would be a cute couple

*Jade's P.O.V.*

Sky and I walked to his house and went inside.

"I've never been in your house before." I said.

"Oh yeah. Well, why don't I give you the grand tour." Sky said. "This is the living room."

We walked through the living room and entered the kitchen.

"This is the kitchen." Sky said.

His mom was sitting at the table in there on her laptop.

"Hi mom. I'm gonna eat at Jade's house tonight. Is that okay?" Sky asked.

"Yeah, I didn't know Jade lived next door?" His mom said.

"Uh, well, my dad's friend does. He's away on... uh... business right now." I said.

"Oh, okay." Sky's mom said. "The two boys live next door. What are their names? Christian, right?"

"Yeah, and Ashley." I said.

"Yeah, that's right. I haven't seen them in a while until Sky told me he had a friend who lived next door. I thought maybe they adopted a kid or something." Sky's mom said.

"No, it's just me. When my dad comes back, I'll probably be leaving. I'm in the same school though, I just won't be right next door." I said.

"Aw, well, at least you two will still see eachother at school." Sky's mom said.

"Yeah." Sky said.

"Well, Christian and Ashley are a cute couple. I see them out occasionally." Sky's mom said.

Sky and I had to hold back out laughter.

"Um, they aren't dating. They're just friends who live together." I said.

"Oh." Sky's mom said, surprised.

"Yeah." I said.

"Well, they would be a cute couple." Sky's mom said.

Sky and I almost burst out laughing again.

"Yup, okay. We're gonna go now, love you mom." Sky said, desperate to leave.

"Okay, love you sweetheart." Sky's mom said.

We walked back to the living room.

"So, over there are the stairs to the bedrooms." Sky said.

I followed him upstairs and we were in a hallway. We turned right and went into a room, which was definitely Sky's because there were a bunch of posters all over the walls.

"This is my room." Sky said.

"Yup, definitely could've figured that out." I said.

We both laughed. He brought his backpack and set it in his room.

"I don't need this anytime soon." He said.

We exited the room and went back into the hallway.

"And that room is my parent's. That one is a spare." He said.

"Cool." I said.

"Yup, it's nothing big but it's just me and my parents. Well, soon it'll just be me and my mom." He said.

"Aw, why?" I asked.

"Parents are fighting. A lot. I'm pretty sure they're gettting a divorce soon, if they aren't already in the process." Sky said.

"Aww, I'm sorry." I said.

"Nah, it's alright." He said, brushing it off.

We went outside and went back to CC's place.

"Hey, we got pepperoni. Hope that's okay." CC said.

"Yup, sounds good." I said.

"Good by me." Sky said.

"Cool." CC said.

We all hung out in the living room and decided to play some video games. We played COD with Jake online. We were able to talk with the mic and we all had a good time. Finally the pizza arrived and we ate up.

"This is so good." Sky said, eating his pizza.

"Yeah..." I said, trailing off.

"What's wrong?" Sky asked, setting his pizza down.

I sighed.

"I don't really know. It's just.... it's nothing." I said, taking another bite of pizza.

Sky frowned but continued eating his pizza.

"I haven't talked to Andy in a while... does he hate me? I mean, he's busy, you know? But we parted ways on a slightly sour note... ugh. I need to call him later."

We finished eating the pizza and decided to watch some movies. Sky and I sat on the love seat and I cuddled up into him as he wrapped an arm around me.

"Aww, how cute." Ashley said, entering the room with popcorn and sitting on the couch.

CC walked in as well and gave a disapproving look. He quickly changed his expression and sat next to Ash on the couch. Ash turned on the movie and we began watching it. We ended up just watching movies the rest of the night and I started getting tired. I rested my head on Sky's chest. I could hear his heartbeat.

Thump thump

"I like CC's better..."

I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
