"Give me another chance, Eleanor." Ryne grabbed her shoulders, making her look at him in the eyes as she tried to avoid eye contact.

"I don't know if I should Ryne, my mom told me to never go on a second date after the first one went wrong like ours did." She looked down and fiddled with her sleeve.

"I promise i'll be better, I was distracted with work. Please forgive me." Ryne let go of Eleanor's shoulders and backed up slightly. She glanced up from twisting her sleeve and stared into Ryne's deep blue eyes.

"You get one more chance.." Her voice was quiet.

"Thank you! Thank you!" He embraced Eleanor in a giant hug with a cheerful laugh and lifted her off the ground a bit. She smiled at how much he cared for her and leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.

"Now, where do you want to go for our second date?" Eleanor said smiling and waiting for him to answer.

"I was thinking.. A restaurant? We can get to know each other better there than a movie." Ryne smiled and he grabbed her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers.

"That's a great idea!" She said and hugged him tightly.

"Your table," The waiter said as he gestured towards the open table for two, placing the menus at the seats. They sat down and opened their menus, "And can I get you two anything to drink?"

"I'll have a water." Ryne said, not taking his eyes off the menu.

"And I'll have the same, thanks." Eleanor said, eyeing the different choices on the menu.
"Alright, I will be back with those." The waiter said as he turned and walked away to the back. Eleanor put down her menu and placed her arms on the table, reaching across to Ryne. Ryne noticed and put down his own menu and held her hands.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Her smile was big as she played around with his fingers.

"Well I was thinking you could tell me about the exciting day you had today at the clinic." Ryne smiled and gently squeezed her hands. She let go of one of his hands and moved it to the bread basket.

"Nothing interesting really happened... But two days ago a mother and her little girl came in for Flu shots," Eleanor stared at the basket, picking at one of the bread sticks, "And the little girl was clinging onto her mother with all her life because she was so scared. It was cute how attached she was to her mom," She smiled at the basket, "And then.." Ryne's phone interrupted her with the ring. Ryne looked down at his phone at the phone number, instantly recognizing it from the job he had wanted.

"Ugh, hold on I have to take this." He got up from the table and went outside of the restaurant. Eleanor sighed and waited for him to get back.

"All alone? What happened to the guy that was here?" The waiter said as he placed down the waters.

"He left.. Again.." She sighed out.
