Just as the red luminous had turned green, the car accelerated, chasing the rain drops against it's glass. She took her hand out of the window, letting her fingers enjoy the tiny swords of rain from heavens. The street was wet and hence reflected every light around. Street lights flashed in between due to some genuine reason or to recreate some scene. Her eyes suddenly took notice of the building by the road side her car was passing. She could see the entrance of the stairs by the side of that building. Everything seemed to have come around. The same wet streets, raindrops from the same heavens and the same place. In addition, there were the same iron cum steel shop and the pharmacy which used to be the only shelter outside, in the monsoons. Her eyes were captured by the place and her lips, itself curved up a smile. A smile of gaining precious memories by loosing something precious.
Just then he held her hand, yet she couldn't turn her eyes out of that scene though the car had already crossed that spot. While driving he asked, "What's up there?". She gave her reply, a smile, and nothing else. It was not a new place she came across. In spite the fact that at least once a day she had to cross the place, this night got something different in it. It used to be a place she merely noticed but this time, sight of that same place brought a new and different glow and feeling which was definitely extracted from the elapsed days.
