I Really Kind Of Like You A Lot

Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my little brother, Wyatt in my face making stupid beeping noises. He did this every morning since he started going to school. He was always so excited, so he was up early enough to wake me up for school. I thought that he would've grown out of it when he turned 12, he didn't. I tapped him on his head shutting him off like an alarm. I groaned as he excitedly ran out of my room. It was the first day back from winter break. I was excited to see my friends in person, but I had to get my sleeping schedule back on track. You would think that me being a junior in high school I would know how to do this by now. I took a shower making sure not to mess up my thick hair or in a matter of seconds it would be puffy and my mother would kill me. It took my hairstylist a short amount of time to do my beautiful African American hair, but since I wanted the ends dyed a maroon color, it took longer and costed more than usual. I throw on a plain black sweatshirt hoodie and black skinny jeans. I pulled my hair into a ponytail, grabbed my backpack, and went downstairs to grab some pieces of bacon before Jaxon came to pick me up.

"Reign, why don't you show off that beautiful body of yours?" my mother asked me. She did this anytime I didn't dress girly, basically she did this everyday.

"Mom I don't know what body you are talking about," I told her. Honestly, there was nothing intriguing about my body to me. I felt like I had an average body. I had the boys tell me that my butt and boobs attracted the boys to volleyball games. They each got a smack across the head for that.

There was a knock on the door and my little brother, Wyatt, gets the door.

"Reign, your boyfriend is here!" he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and signaled for Jaxon to grab some bacon before we left. He did and we headed out the door.

"Bye, Rose! Bye Wyatt!" Jaxon said.

"Bye asshole! Bye Mom!" I said while closing the door before my mom yelled at me for swearing. I honestly didn't give a fuck though. She didn't truly care enough to tell me not to do it. "Queen!" I exclaimed while hugging Jaxon's motorcycle. I wanted a motorcycle since I was 12. When Jaxon got one this summer, I fell in love with it and told him that I was getting the same one.

"Dude, get your fat ass up. We have to get to school. You can drive it after school," Jaxon joked. They always said fat ass to me; they weren't calling me fat. They were talking about my ass. Even though they were my friends, they couldn't help checking me out from time to time, but they wouldn't want to date me.

I grabbed my helmet out of my backpack and put it on my head while getting on the motorcycle. I wrapped my arms around Jaxon and we were off to hell, I mean school.

When we got to the school I got off the motorcycle and took off my helmet. Jaxon and I walked towards my friends and we instantly began talking about break. We knew we had enough time because we always arrived at least 20 minutes before school started.

"Reign, did your dad come home for Christmas this year?" Jared asked. I shook my head no.

"I don't think he loves me anymore. I didn't get mailed a gift," I told them.

"Maybe it got lost," Flynn tried to reassure.

"Yea for the past seven years my gifts have gotten lost," I groaned signalling I wanted to change topics. Jaxon got the signal and changed the topic.

"Where did you go for vacation this break Flynn?" Jaxon asked.

"Singapore. It was awesome!" Flynn exclaimed. Flynn had loaded parents they went everywhere during vacation times. During the summer they would take us on one of the three trips they took. Last summer we went to Trinidad, I was so excited.

"Hey boys!" I knew the squeaky annoying bitchy voice anywhere, Ally. She was Jared's girlfriend since the ninth grade. She kind of hated me with a burning passion. She always thought I was going to take Jared away from her. The only reason I didn't give her several bruises was because Jared really loved her, and she really loved him. They were perfect for each other, everyone knew it.
