it was almost as though i couldn't breathe. danielle. calum, the boy she loved more than herself, had murdered her. two of my closest friends had gone against me and killed everyone i had ever known.

i looked at calum in disgust, and sorrow. "why?" i sob.

calum laughs and throws the voice changer to ashton, him catching it with ease. he brings it up to his mouth, "oh, woah! what's the matter evelyn? it looks like you've seen a ghost."

"why are you doing this?" i say, as another tear falls down my cheek.

"it's all part of the game, evelyn." calum says, walking closer to ashton so he's fully in the room.

ashton laughs, shouting, "its called guess how i'm going to die!"

"fuck you!" i spat.

ashton shakes his head, "no, no, no we already played that game, remember? you lost!"

another tear. how could the boy i loved for two years do this to me? i poured my heart out to him, i gave him everything and i was too blinded by his fake love to notice he is psychotic.

"it's a fun game, eve. see, we ask you a question, you get it wrong, boom!" calum shouted, his arms flying in the air. "you die."

"and if you get it right," ashton says, playing with the gun in his hands. "you still die."

i shake my head, "you're crazy, both of you! you'll never get away with this."

"oh really?" ashton questioned. "tell that to jason mace. you wouldn't believe how easy it was to frame him."

are they implying that they killed my mother? jason mace, was innocent and i had put him on death row. all of the pieces were starting to come together. i just wasn't so sure i believed them just yet.

"watch a few movies, take a few notes! it was fun!" calum laughed crazily.

"no!" i scream, trying to run away, but calum grabs my arm.

"woah! where do you think you're going?" he starts pulling me into the kitchen where ashton joins behind us. they trap me between the island counter, so now i couldn't run.

"why?" i scream. "why did you kill my mother!"

ashton laughs, turning to calum. "you hear that cal? i think she wants to hear our motive." he looks back at me. "i don't really believe in motives, eve. did norman bates have a motive?"

"nope!" calum answered.

"did they ever really know why hannibal lector liked to eat people? i don't think so! its a lot scarier when there's no motive, eve." i was sick of ashton calling me by my nickname when i was so disgusted in him right now. he continued, "we did your mom a favor. that woman was a skank-bag whore who flashed her junk all over town. we just put her out of her misery."

i shook my head, tears falling down my flushed and blood-covered cheeks. "stop." i choked back a sob.

ashton shook his head, "is that a good enough motive for you? how about this: your slut mother was fucking my father. and she's the shit reason my mom moved out and abandoned me."
