Cameron's POV
There she was. Her beautiful brown hair was thrown over her shoulder. Her eyes dancing over her textbook. Her lips part as she sighs. What I wouldn't do to kiss those lips, to caress her cheek, to smell her sweet perfume, to look into those gorgeous eyes and see nothing but love. Oh how I long to hear her say those three magical words to me. Sadly, that will never happen. She's a good girl, a Christian, a church girl, and her dad works for the Sheriffs Department. Not to mention the fact that he's arrested me more times than I can count.
I've felt this way since freshman year. I still remember the day she walked in. The new girl. She was wearing a dark green dress, knee high boots, and a bow in her hair. She smiled showcasing teeth adorned with braces. That smile gave me butterflies.
My best friend Alec is the only one who knows about my secret crush.
I walked over to her and sat down. She looked up, her eyes widening slightly in shock before scowling.
"What?" She snapped. She must know my reputation with the law.
I just want to talk to her. "What's up?" I asked. She looked so confused. Getting up, she grabbed her book and walked out of the library. Should've seen that one coming.
"Hey! Wait!" I called running after her effectively pissing off the librarian. Once I got outside I walked around the building looking for her. I lit a cigarette in the process.
Ah! Finally. There she was. She just stood there at the bus stop applying chapstick to her lips.
I walked in front of her. She slowly started backing up until her back hit the wall. Her lips were just inches from mine. With every breath I took I could smell mangoes.
After a while of just staring at each other I took my cigarette and put it out on her book.
She gasped. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"Its a book not an ashtray." She snarled.
"My bad. I didn't mean to cause harm to your precious book." Was my retort.
"Go away Cameron. I do not have time for this. My dad wants me at the department today and you of all people should know how he is when he doesn't get his way." She said pushing me out of the way before getting on the bus.
