A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.

Eden's pov

A groan escapes past my lips as I feel the weight of my five-year-old, Celeste,  jump on my stomach.

"Mommy wake up daddy's back!" Her voice filled with excitement.

"Shut up Celie! I told you don't jump on her!" A hushed voice spoke up next.

"It's ok Devin. Come on kids, let's go see your dad!" They both jumped up and ran out the room. I pushed the blankets off me before following them down.

"Daddy!" Celeste yelled. "Hey!" He said, kneeling down so he was their height.  He pulled both the kids in his arms hugging them. "I got you guys something." He said before pulling a present out of his bag.

I gave him the 'look' but he ignored it.

Celeste ripped open her present, which was a doll she's been wanting for a long time.

"What about me?!" Devin shouted. "Hold on buddy I got you something too!" He held out a target.

"What's that for?" I asked. I couldn't believe what he pulled out.

"Dad that so cool!" Devin smiled.

It was a bow. A freaking bow and arrow. My smile immediately faltered. The bow was identical to the one 'he' had. Devin grabbed his things and ran to his room.

"And I didn't forget about my lovely wife," Finn said handing me a black box.

"We need to talk," I said before walking to the kitchen.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Are you kidding me, Finn? A bow?! What were you thinking?!" I exclaimed.

"I was thinking I could come home to my amazing kids and my beautiful wife." He smirked pulling me into his arms.

"Oh no!" I scoffed pushing him away. "We're talking about this right now." He groaned.

"He's a kid Eden. And he's been asking for one since he was seven." "And I distinctly remember telling both of you no. You know why Finn!" My hands slammed down on the counter.

He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. "I'm sorry I seen it and just bought it. I wasn't thinking." I sighed.

"Well, you already gave it to him so there's no point of taking it back I guess." He smiled. "Here." He slid the box in front of me.

I opened it and gasped. It was a necklace. There was a heart and an infinity symbol wrapped around it. Devin & Celeste's names were engraved on the sides.

"It's gorgeous!" I turned around and kissed him. "Thank you so much!" He smiled. "I'm glad you liked it. Made it myself!" I laughed. "Well, you did a mighty good job, my love!" I said sarcastically.

(Time skip )

"Kids come down its time for dinner!" I called from the bottom of the stairs.

I immediately hear footsteps coming down the hallway.

Finn comes back in the house. "Hey, babe we got a letter from Kirsten Glee." He said opening an envelope.

"Who?" "Kirsten, we went to school with her." "What does she want?" I honestly couldn't remember who she was.

I start serving the kids food.

"It's umm an invite." He hesitated. "She's hosting a high school 'reunion'." I scoffed.

"Let me see." He handed me the card. The words in bold printed on the top.

'High school reunion!'

Are you serious?! How the hell did she even know we moved back here? My aunt recently passed away and she left the house to me. It wasn't too big or too small. It was perfect for me and my family.

"We're going." He said, sitting in his place at the table. "What? NO! Finn I don't want to go back 'there'." I sat down. "Eden come on, it's been what 10 years? We're going whether you like it or not. End of conversation." He started eating. Well, thanks, Kirsten.
