Chapter 10: Nando’s POV- Kara
Niall and I walked out of the lobby, heading for Nando’s. My stomach was growling like a lion now, and I was so hungry. I had changed from my lime green pj t-shirt to a white v-neck one with a pink rose on the bottom corner and jeggings. It was still only 6:30 in the morning, so I probably had bags galore under my eyes. I just had to ask.
“Do I look ok? I don’t have bags under my eyes, do I?”
“You look fantastic, love,” Niall grinned at me.
“Ok. Thanks,” I smiled back. He just called me “love”! :D
“Shall we go to Nando’s then?”
“Sure!”
Then we were out of the lobby and onto the street.
“Just stay close to me and try not to get caught in the crowds. But that’s nearly impossible,” Niall said, walking closer to me, so our shoulders were touching. “I don’t wanna lose you in the mob,” Niall teased, but his face was serious.
I blushed furiously. Does he like me? Then I pushed that thought away. He wouldn’t want a friend trampled in the crowds either. I sighed in relief as we made it across the road. There were no mobs, plus we didn’t have to worry about getting run over by any cars. When we were a little less than a block away, a girl screamed and pointed at us, whispering to a friend. Then, a whole mob of girls starting forming behind and in front of us. We started walking quickly to Nando’s, trying to avoid the grabbing hands of teenage girls. Then, my worst nightmare happened. Niall went under. I swore the girls thought that they were playing football of something. They were literally tackling him. I tried to reach Niall, who was struggling to stand up in the crowd. Most of the girls were very mean; they kept on shoving me back and forth.
“Excuse me, can you please step aside? Helloooooo... this is an emergency!” I was weaving my way towards Niall. I think the girls were trying to drag him somewhere or something. One girl stepped on the edge of my shoe, ripping it from my foot. The girl apologized, but didn’t pick it up. About two seconds later, my shoe was nowhere to be seen. Then, a girl with light pink braided hair picked up a shoe (which was mine!) and handed it back to me. “Thank you,” I quickly blurted out. Then I turned back to Niall. Some of the girls were trying to help him back onto his feet, but most of the girls were trying to rip out his hair and take his jacket, grabbing the hood. Then, a really mean (or crazed) blonde pushed Niall down with a shove so hard that he hit the ground with a thud. My first thought was Oh my gosh! Did she seriously just DO THAT? She could’ve killed him! I could feel my blood boiling. I had enough of all this. No more quiet, shy girl anymore. If I get mad, I get mad. “HEY!” I yelled as loud as I could. I could hear my voice echo off the buildings. “EVERYONE! Move NOW!”
People were shocked, but they didn’t move. In fact, they inched closer to Niall on the ground. “Get YOUR BUTTS OUTTA HERE or I will CALL THE POLICE!” I threatened. This got them worried. They parted, letting me through. I got to Niall and helped him off the ground, ignoring all the girls’ nasty stares.
“Thanks,” Niall whispered in my ear and he grabbed my hand.
“No problem,” I whispered back.
We walked, hand-in-hand, through the crowd of girls. They were all giving me glares, and I glared back. Then, finally, we approached the door of Nando’s.
