"How are we going to get to the leaky cauldron then?" I asked

"We can't walk there"

"We'll have to get a taxi then" Remus said. We hail down a taxi and I look in my bag to see how much money I have, only to see I have over 100 pounds in pocket money from all of the chores I have done for the Dursley's, they learned quickly to pay up they are quiet easy to manipulate. The taxi driver asked us where we were going and seeing as I'm in the front I tell him although he looks surprised as the leaky cauldron isn't the nicest place. Coming up with a quick lie.

"It's my grandmother she loves the place and my uncle and I are just going with her to make sure she is safe."

"Oh well that's awfully kind of you" he replies believing the lie and I take a quick look to Remus and McGonagall to see them with perplexed looks on their faces and I just shrug as them. It's silent for the whole ride, it's filled with awkwardness well what can you expect 2 witches, 1 wizard and the taxi driver, it sounds like the beginning of a bad joke. We arrive at the leaky cauldron and the driver turns side on to see all of us and asks

"Who's paying?" I turn towards Remus and McGonagall and they both shake their heads I sigh and do what I usually do to get out of these situation, I lie. I start to cry this startles the taxi man t and the professor and the family friend.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry it's just both my parents died and we don't have that much money and even though she won't tell me I know that she hasn't got long to live either and my uncle will probably slip into depression again and kill himself he's done it before and," I sob obnoxiously,

"I'll be sent to an orphanage with my little brother and this will probably be our last trip together. God I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" I cry, my body shaking with fake sobs

"No, no its ok sweetie don't worry about it, it's on the house, have a drink for me" he said the last bit towards the professor

"Really" I say with a hopeful tone

"Really?" the two in the back question at the same time,

"Oh thank you, thank you so much" I say ignoring them. We leave the cab and watch it drive away, I only lied so I didn't have to spend any of that hard working money, and hey why pay for something when you can get it for free? As I turn towards the professor and Remus they are giving me pointed, scolding looks,

"What?"

"You're so much like your father" Remus sighs out with a slight chuckle I grin as McGonagall starts to laugh as well.

"Let's get you to Diagon Alley before I die" she says exasperated, mocking me for my earlier lie, while putting a gentle hand on the small of my back guiding me into the dark building. Carefully making our way through to the back of the building, we step through a door.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley" the professor announces

"Do you want to explore or get the school supplies?" Remus asked knowing all too well the beauty that comes with Diagon Alley.
