"Oi! Cherub-sama!" A high-pitched voice came from the distance, almost like a scream. Well— so much for subtlety. Amongst the rubble of the collapsed building, the call still echoed against the cracked walls. "Hey!" They kept calling even when it seemed like the beams were on the verge of being completely destroyed if another scream were to pass through them.

Someone with shiny silver hair turned towards the noise, seemingly sighing at the ruckus. They weren't sure if they should answer or not because their location would have already been obvious by the group chasing them. Seeing as there aren't many choices left, they decided to respond, "I'm here! Crow!" Pushing away more of the rubble, they got out of their position, the white button-down they were covered in dirt and grime— not to mention the overwhelming stains of blood, but they were there too. "Honestly. I keep telling him about how it's important to be stealthy in a stealth mission but it just flew right over his head. Goddamnit."

Footsteps came tumbling down the hall from afar. So, that was where the screaming was coming from. "Cherub-sama! CCG Agents are in the building next to this one. I heard from the others that their backups will be arriving here in a few more minutes tops!" Came was a shorter person, their hair was bright orange with dark roots poking out from their forehead, a great contrast from their simple all-black getup, a gakuran from head to toe completed with white school-shoes. A cream hood poked out from under the jacket and it was left loose.

The one they were talking to had the opposite, clad in white, they let out yet another sigh.

"Then let's get out of here."

Low voices and soft shuffling filled the empty room, their hushed whispers rang in each other's ears.

"I see them, I see them. A-Ranked Ghoul, Cherubim. He seems to be uninjured from the blast. He must have used his koukaku to shield himself from the blast. Subject Cherubim seems to be talking to his alleged partner, B-Ranked Ghoul, Crow. Keh. They look so lovey-dovey. Are you sure they're not that kind of 'partners'?"

A strangled noise is heard from behind, "What—? No??? Are they armed?"

"Nope. Their kagunes are nowhere in sight. They are unarmed. But they seem to be escaping the building hand-in-hand, though."

A young man with gelled up hair shoved through the small group of watches, snatching the binoculars that were used to spy on the ghouls in the building in front of them. "Hey! I was looking through that!" The one that was given the job of spying whined childishly, lips curling up in a smirk that held not much remorse for his actions.

He grunts, scoffing, "You're not saying anything important anyway. Your reports are as obnoxious as that red hair of yours. Why were you assigned to this group anyway?" He looks through the binoculars, shoving the literal redhead away from his position.

"Well, I—"

"Rhetorical question."

The man began to ignore the fake wails and sobs from his colleague (he should have done that in the first place). Looking through the binoculars, he sees the two ghouls they were tasked to track down and single out. Thankfully, the reports he'd gotten were accurate.

Crow, the one that proudly wore a black, carbon-metal beak that resembled an actual crow's had his hand wrapped around Cherubim's arm, seeming to be tugging at him. The other in the once white general uniform looks like to be resisting, his head shifting around, staring at their surroundings. He couldn't see the front of Cherubim, only greeted by the back off his head, but from the fake feathered angel wings that stuck out of either side of his head, there was no way he could catch the wanted ghoul's actual face.

"They seem to be exhausted. Tell the riot group to move in now while they have the chance."

"Yessir~!"
