" Hey Kevin!" He smiled at me and waved. Incase you didn't know, Kevin is my bestfriend. Him and I grew up in Ohio.
" Clair? Hello??"
" Oh, yea, i'm fine! Just trying to clean all of this powder off of my shirt.." He looked past my shoulder, seeing Samantha and her two sidekicks look back and laugh. Yeah... i know. I'm a total loser.
" Clair... why don't you just..." I automaticly interupted him, finishing his sentence.
" Stick it to her? Kick her ass? Kevin, look at me! I'm pathetic! No one likes me, and if i even try to touch her, i'm dead! Ugh... do you have a napkin or something?" He shrugged. Looked in his pockets. Nothing.
" Sorry... um... Here." He took a sweater out of his bad and gave it to me. " Wear this. You can borrow it. I'll get it back tonight."
" Thanks Kev!" I smiled while pulling the sweater over my powder-covered shirt.
" Any time. Hey, my rides here... so, i'll see you at six okay?" He winked.
" Yeah. like always Kevin. Haha." And he left. Okay. So... wheres my grandmother? I waited for twenty minutes and then called her. No answer, So, I walked. Five steps later, Samantha and all of her friends drive by, calling out names like "Fat ass!" or "loser!" I just try to ignore them and keep walking. No reaction of how it felt like inside of me... everyday.
I finally got home, running upstairs to look out my window. Right into Kevins eyes. I open the window to let him in. " Hey Clair." He looks at me. He saw that one tear and instantly embraced me into his arms. It is then that i let it all out of my system.
" Shh... it's okay Clair bear... it's all okay now..." He sets me on his lap and puts both hands softly on my cheeks and says " You are oh so beautiful! Believe me when i say that. Clair... Don't believe anything Samantha says. She just wants to ruin you. She thinks she's all cool, but honestly, She's just the bitch from hell." He makes me smile then. I wish people were more like him. So, right then, I kiss him on his cheek and he smiles and kisses me on my lips. That's the very first time Kevin and I ever kissed. Even though we were both secretly crushing on eachother.
We stopped after a little while. " Claire? Do you realize what just happened?" I couldn't believe it... I just had my first kiss with Kevin! Happiness suddenly started spreading all around my body.
" I..." Just then he started laughing. He knew it was my first kiss and he totally saw me beat red! That night, He never went home. I stayed right here in his big dreamy arms and fell asleep.
