My name is Time

So what do you think of when you hear the word time? I think of millions of years going by. I have been alive since the beginning of time. For that is who I am. Time. But, now I go by Y'vana. This is my story of how humanity, once so repetitive that I forgot how to live by myself, showed me how to love again.

Chapter 1

Echoes of screaming children, crying of grieving women and mothers, and hoarse battle cries fill the air surrounding my dimension. I could feel everything past, present, and future.

Crying, I left out of bed screaming, calling out, knowing there was nothing I could do. Please, I thought , please let me sleep.

Not thinking, I scramble out of bed and head towards the bathroom. There was nothing I could do for anyone even though I wished I could. There were rules, and I couldn't break those rules, when I wanted so badly to ease everybody's pain.

Sighing, I open the door and walked inside. Stripping my clothes off, I run the water, and step inside the shower. All of my thoughts scattered away, and I breathed a sigh of relief. Running water disrupts thoughts, and I could use that because I had a huge headache. Releasing the tension due to the scalding hot water, I felt better and my dreams faded away. Sighing because I knew I'd have to get out eventually, but had right now just to be normal. When the water started running cold, I climbed out of the shower and dried off.

As I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I knew I looked very haggard. With blue eyes, medium brown hair, and the glasses, I looked very human and average, I guess that's sort of God's humor. He told me that if I should live within the human realm, I would become an average look alike. I guess I should have thought of it earlier but I didn't realize, my power would try to hide me in fear that people would use me. I guess that's why I became so cold.

But, I don't think of myself cold, I want think of myself as practical, because I don't want to admit to myself, that I am NOT human.
