And no I'm not depressed, I just wrote a short story about it based off of a picture, and if you would, it would be nice to see what kind of picture this conjures for you...leave in comments if you feel up to it   Please and thank you! - J _____________________________________________________

I walk directly through the reflective puddles on my way to "the Destination."  I try to soak in the faded beauty of the town.  Even knowing I won't need it for where I'm going.  I still try to find one last bit of solace for my heart to hold on to.  A single, solitary reminder of the once beautiful memories that will soon be forever forgotten.  The damp ground tries to subdue my spirit, to hold it down where it can never get up again.  But the ancient buildings and towers floating in the abyss of dreary sky pull it up even through it's grasp.  They stand there, a stoic reminder that even in the sadness there is a hope of survival, of overcoming it and of still being yourself.  I solemnly laugh at the thought.  I know I have no chance to overcome it.  As I arrive at "the Destination" I look back and take one more glance at the town.  I try to let the effect of happiness it has on me linger as long as it can, but sadly, it fades with the door closing behind me.  As the sound of it slamming shut reaches my ears I feel the last wisp of it recede into nothingness.  I become no more.
