Blame

I dream of how heavenly the world would seem when I can no longer feel any urges or need to blame, not only events happening around me, but also myself. Undoubtedly it will be the same me and the same world, but how much more wonderful the world would seem. The same sight I have always seen, I will finally see for the first time.

If life only grants me one thing to change, then I'd like to be without the ability to blame. Then, I readily accept responsibility for every action I take. I can readily accept everything life gives me. Not that I blame a lot, I know that everything happens for a reason good or bad, but if there is however something I want to become true with, it's this. I want to live without blaming, my life can only be better for it. However little I do blame, I'd like to stop all together.

It is a well-known fact that when something bad happens, people generally tend to put the blame on somebody or something else, even if in some cases the statements may be in other words illogical. But, Why is it done?

In my opinion it's different for everybody. For me, it's the fear of judgement, disappointment and dissatisfaction that can be shown by others towards you. It is much easier and more pleasant to live believing that everything bad that happens to you and those close to you happens because of the reasons you cannot affect; because of the actions of other people, as a result of circumstances.

' I couldn't have done anything '

It is one thing to live knowing that something that happened in the past would have been averted if you had taken the right decision, and completely another if you are not to be blamed- even by yourself. Some people manage to persuade themselves and blame other people, things and situations around them just to not have the thought and knowledge in their head that something bad happened, sometimes totally by accident. It is an ultimate goal of this process of self-delusion.

The word 'blame' has become a word for passing off fault. Blame has become an excuse or state denial; a constant safe place one can run to as a means of avoiding the true fault. It is a weakness of mine that I personally would want to change. I believe that things happen for a reason. As a kid, if we did something bad, we always tried to blame it on something else no matter how silly or small it was, just to get out of trouble. Such as, drawing all over the living room walls and blaming it on the faeries. With age, the word 'blame' evolved into something deeper at times and more serious. We usually tend to blame ourselves about a lot of situations that occur in our life. It's not a good thing. Everybody has those down days where it seems like everything is just wrong, yet this still does not mean that you should be blaming or punishing yourself for them in any way.

Yes, you do have to take personal responsibilities for your life at some hard points yet some are bound to happen. Love is a good example here. Sometimes it doesn't work out, this doesn't necessarily mean it's your fault if you did no wrong, so why are you still blaming yourself for those non existent mistakes. What's meant to happen will happen sooner or later, don't rush into things. Let it go, if it comes back it was meant to  be that way, if it doesn't there's something way better waiting for you out there.

Blaming is a point of weakness. Some people catch your weaknesses and use them against you as a way of manipulation. Mine is 'blame' , mostly blaming myself. Respect yourself the way you would like to be respected by others and don't blame or punish yourself for things that are inevitable to happen, because people will only take advantage of it..

In other words..

If I had to change one thing about myself, It would most certainly be the constant blaming. It is a bad trait and does not benefit anybody around you, including yourself.
