I wake up at 5:30 every morning. I have to get myself ready and then get my little sister Quinn ready. Quinn is not an ordinary first grader. She is very quiet and has never liked anything loud and rowdy. On a daily basis we stop and visit my Mom in the morning before school. She has been in the hospital for six months now getting kemo for Cancer. She is starting to get better. She has gotten brighter as a person, but she has been acting strange. She will forget mine and Quinn's name sometimes and once she had to be put in a mental institution for two weeks because she tried to kill herself for no reason. I sometimes wander about my Dad. he left when I was born, and Quinn's dad died when he was on the way to the hospital when mom was in labor with her. I always like Quinn's dad more than mine. I mean I know I never met my dad but, Quinn's dad was always there for me. "Abby?" Ugh! I was daydreaming in class! That's the second time this week! if I keep this up I won't get into Harvard. "Abby, do you know the answer?" "Uhhh sorry Mrs.Welsh, can you repeat the question?" Right then the bell rings. I was saved by the bell I guess you could say! Now I have to go pick up Quinn from school. To be honest, having to raise my sister is by far the best experience I have ever had. I walked into Quinn's school and walked into her classroom. SHE WASN'T IN THERE! I asked her teacher If she had seen her, and she replied saying Quinn was excused to go home by some guy. "WHAT?" I shouted! I ran out to the playground and there was Quinn, but she was with some guy. He almost looked familiar, but I couldn't quite put the pieces together. I grabbed Quinn's hand and we ran to the car.
