Hey again! Just and FYI, this chapter and most likley the next few involves alot of marching stuff some people won't understand. I'll try and explain it in a later description. And this might be the last update for about a week or whenever I have time. I swear I am dedicated. I just have a life as well!

"Crew, meet the new members." Evan announces.

A whole group of people stood up and introduced themselves. After looking at their instruments, I see that they all play trombones. Which, I can also play.

"Yo! What up my dude!" A cheerful guy says. "I'm Devin Shorts. Most people call me Dev, but you can call me anytime," I blush.

"Hey, I'm Courtney and this is my sister Steph. And yes, we are twins," they giggle.

"And last but not least, I'm Vitaly. Don't fuck with me and I won't fuck with you." I can tell he is teasing due to his intriguing smirking.

"Hey, I'm Serenity. And this is my best friend Nicole." I say. "Did you all not get any new members?"

They all shake their heads no. "Ya'll have one of the smallest classes I have ever seen. Our Junior class has about 50 people in it. The seniors have 80. Like, what happened there?" Dev chimes.

"I don't really know." Nicole answers. "I guess most parents didn't want to have kids at this time." We all laugh.

"Well, welcome to 'The Crew'." Courtney says. "But don't think it is that easy to get in this group. We have a few 'traditions' you both have to do." They all smirk and laugh.

"Traditions?" Nicole and I say at unison.

"Yeah, traditions." Steph answers.

"What kind of traditions?" I ask.

"Is this all you do?" Vitaly complains.

"Do what?" I reply, confused.

"That." He answers. "Live on the edge and stop asking so many questions."

I stay quiet.

"Don't worry girl." Courtney says. "We all had to do these so called traditions. It's just part of who we are. Don't be worried."

We are finally headed out to the field. Music, instrument, water, bag, I look like I should be going on a hike. Which is basically the same feeling.

"Hello band!" A guy said from the podium through a megaphone. "My name is Dante Pride, your drum major for 2017." A loud roar pondered through the crowd of, already sweating, teenagers. "And for your information, no that isn't my real last name. Its just part of the title. My last name is Stevens. Anyway, Section leaders, you can take it away. Make sure you get the rooks to understand our warm-ups and basic block." He concluded.

All the trombones and baritones ran to the corner of the football field, hooting and hollering like idiots. I love it. But, I totally ship Courtney and Cameron. They are practically inseparable. They are always next to each other and he gives her this look that...

"Hello? Ya awake?" Neal asks.

"Yeah...sorry. I just got lost in my thoughts." I laughed.

Courtney told us all to get in a block. Basically, a 2 by 3 square, but with 3 people in the back, due to the odd number.

"Band. Ten hut." Cameron shouts proudly.

"PRIDE." We all shouted back.

"Okay. So a basic block is 8 up, 8 left, 8 back, 8 right, and 8 back up. Since you guys already know the basics of marching, we will try it out. Mark time mark!"

"Check and 1, 2, 3, 4.." We all said

"Forward March." Cameron continued.

We do this for about 30 minuites. It was very stressful, but fun. We even went over a few more commands like 'parade rest' and 'pop a Dante', which basically is just a squat position. The story behind it is that he was always squatting when he should be at attention. Crazy how he's now the Drum major.

"Okay, so can someone explain these traditions," Nicole finally spoke up.

"Oh yes." Vitaly started. "Basically, us upper classmen, give you, the lower classmen including you as well Evan and Dev, different tasks to do. And you have to complete them through canp and even the school year. It's truth or dare, but without the truths. And its mandatory or we kick you out of the crew."

Me and Nicole look horrified. "What is the worst thing yall had to do?" I asked.

"Probably when we made little freshy Vitaly put a laxative in Diamond's coffee." Steph said proudly.

"Oh my god." Nicole and I say at unison. "That is awful!"

"Eh, it was totally worth it," Vitaly continued. "We all hate her. All I know, she had to leave school due to her intense shitting. She can't drink coffee anymore either!" We all burst into laughter.

"Are ours going to be that bad?" Evan asked.

"You and Dev are lucky. Sophmore traditions aren't as bad as fresh meat." Vitaly explains. Everyone gave me and Nicole and evil smile, but I could see the playfulness in their eyes. I think? I'm terrified.
