I was having the best dream ever I was dancing at a gorgeous ball; something out of a fairytale. I was dancing with a masked stranger and suddenly it was midnight, time to take off the masks. Before I could find out who it was though, I heard a loud voice in my ear : Lyra...Lyra....LYRA WAKE UP RIGHT NOW!!
"Ahhh!" I scream as I jolt awake to see a familiar face staring at me. "Hey cutie long time no see." My old friend Max says. "Ugh get out of my face weirdo...and it's good to see you too" I yawn as I push his face away. "Come on get dressed we're going to roof the gangs already there. Also, has anyone told you that it takes a lot to wake you up? I was about to try something from a Disney movie." He rustled his blonde hair.
I make a face "well I'm glad I woke up before that could happen." He laughs "as if you could resist this face."
I laugh along for a second then "if you still want to have a good looking face then you might want to leave so I can get dressed" I joked. "Ok, ok I'm going." He leaves.
Hey, I'm Lyra Frost I'm 12 years old and sadly am about to restart school for middle school. Joy. I have medium length curly hot pink hair, cocoa brown skin, and I always wear a heart necklace.
I have some great friends Erica the super sweet tough girl who will always have my back, Rina who is the best cook ever and is basically the genius of this group, and Max the jock who for some dumb reason likes to flirt with me. Erica has dirty blonde hair cut into a bob, pale skin, and stylish black glasses.
Rina has long wavy black hair, skin the color of sand, and she always wears silver bangles. Lastly Max has pure blonde hair, is kinda tall, and wears a different soccer jersey every day.
Ok. That's enough about me time to go back to my life.
I decided I wear a pale orange summer dress and some flowery flip flops before walking out the door.
I snuck past my snoring parents in their room, walked to the trap door that leads to the roof, and opened it. As soon as I did a pair of arms grabbed my shoulders and lifted me up. When I was all the way up I saw my friends all smiling and holding meatball subs and root beer, my favorite. "Hey let me in to some of that" I grinned as I grabbed some food and drink. "Its been forever since I last saw you guys I'm so excited for school then we can see each other more often. Rina remarks to our groans. "Hey Max, any luck so far?" Erica says pointing towards me. "Nope." He laughs "whatever guys let's enjoy the view before sunrise." I interrupt as we stare at the beautiful starry night.
