"I have to go, I'll be home around 11. I left soup in the microwave, if you need anything just call Ethan." I grabbed my keys and and my bag and looked at Mia.

"Okay thank you so much for covering for me."

Mia was my roommate and best friend. She was sick and needed me to cover her job for her. I neither had class or work today so I agreed. It couldn't be to hard seating people at a table. Of course this was a really fancy place filled with rich a-holes throwing their money out the window like it was pocket change.

"You're late!" Mia's boss had let me fill in for Mia, under the situation that he had no one else.

"I'm right on time sir." I looked at my clock it was  1:30pm

"But here if you're on time you're late, if you're late you're fired. stand by the that book, when someone walks in they will walk up to you. when they do ask for their name. Look for their name and then seat them star with furthest back. If they do not like the seat then tell them we are quite full and it would be hard to seat them somewhere else. Then they bribe you and you move them to where they want to be moved. Got it." I raised and I brow then shook my expression away.

"Yes sir." I stood their for a second waiting for him to say something he was observing other works before he noticed me again.

"Well..." I looked around.

"Well...what sir?"

"don't just stand their licking your paws get to work!" I jumped up and ran to table near the door. The Restaurant was empty till about 7, that's when a couple people started wandering through the doors. I wasn't looking at the people I had been seating. I didn't like talking to people I didn't know, so I kept my head down and did my job. Mia's job.

"Table for four." I looked up at a more than handsome man with a chiseled face and body. He was in a black suit with  a dark grey blue tie.

"uh, name. sir." I tried not to make eye contact but once i did his eyes held tight with mine.

" Grey. Christian Grey." He said that like I should know who he is. I looked for the name, and spotted it.

"Follow me gentlemen." I grabbed four menu's and started walking to a table.

"i'd much prefer a table over there." One of the men said in a deep voice the men that were behind Mr.Grey were much older then he was. He looked like we was in his late 20's and they looked like they could be his father.

"I'm sorry sir, we're starting to get full. it would be difficult to seat you anywhere else. " Mr.Grey smirked under his breath and the rest of the men chuckled.

"Young lady, You must not know who, I am. Who we are." I stared blankly my face got warm. "Fine, Here's a 50." He said handing me a 50 dollar bill. I felt embarrassed to take it. So i didn't.

"follow me this way." They all looked at each other puzzled.

"You don't want the money?" The man said sitting in his chair.

"You think that's all people want? Is money?" I sucked in a breath. I should shut up now. "You're waitress will be right with you." I then walked away and pretended I didn't just smart mouth a rich man.  I could see where Mr.Grey and his friends were sitting waiting to be served. when the waitress walked up to the table Mr.Grey Said something in her ear...She looked up at me. I looked down as I walked by to seat a couple.

"I'd have to ask my boss." She said as I walked by. She went into the kitchen and came out five minutes later with my boss for the night. He walked over to me.

"You're now their waitress and only theirs. "  he said in his mean french accent. "Put this on and ask if they want something to drink, when you come back with their drink ask if they are ready to order." I put on the apron and walked over with a small note book. "Can I get you anything to drink?"

"three martini's and one whiskey for Christian here." I smiled and walked away. Great now I'm suck with these people until they're done eating. I came back with their drinks.

"three martini's and one whiskey. " I sat down the drinks in front of the men. "Are you ready to order or do you need another minute?" Mr.Grey stared at me, I felt a little uncomfortable.

"We're ready to order." One man said. they all ordered, but before I walked away. Mr.Grey stopped me.

"What's you're name?"

"Excuse me?" I asked sorta confused.

"You're name love. what's your name, what do people call you here." I looked around.

"Oh, I don't work here I'm covering for my friend Mia. My name is Amara, but people just call me em or emmy." I walked away before they could say anything else.

I came back 10 minutes later with their food. "So where do you originally work?" One of the men asked as I set down the food.

"Umm. small craft store, I also teach a small art class, and I help kids paint and draw. do you need anything else?" When no one said anything I walked away and sat down in the kitchen.

"When they leave you can leave." My boss said almost pleased with me. I looked out the little window every couple minutes to see if they were done. After the hundredth time of looking out there i finally walked out.

"How was everything?" like I could care less.

"Everything was magnificent. we'll get the check when you have a minute." I smiled and got their check I was more than glad to set it on the table. "Tonight's on me boys." the man said getting out his wallet.

"No, Ned you guys never let me pay," Mr.Grey grabbed the check before anyone could decline. He put his card on it then handed it back to me.

"Here you go, sir." I handed Mr.Grey his card and they all got up to leave. I walked away taking off my apron and hung it up. I started walking to the door when the no longer boss stopped me.

"Mr.Grey left you  a tip." He said looking over at the table. I walked back and looked at the $300 dollar tip on the table, I rolled my eyes and took it.

I waited for the street to be clear so I could get to my car. " You're done with work already?" i heard a deep voice behind me. "Are you stalking me?" I asked slightly creeped out.

" Don't flatter yourself, I just left my jacket inside." I rolled my eyes I couldn't believe this guy.

"Wow, okay. Oh and here. I don't want your tip." I said pushing the money against his muscular chest.

"Why don't you want the money? Any waitress in this place would kill to get a good tip like this. Plus you work in a small craft store? that can't be to rewarding." I looked at him in discuss.

"Not everyone wants money, Mr.Grey. you can't buy happiness. You're an idiot if you think you can. Their's more to life then Money and power, all the money in the world won't make you happy at all sir." I ran across the street to my car and got in. I drove past Mr.Grey and was relieved once he was out of sight.
