Talking about the abominable and atrocious moments of boredom and ennui fills me with deep aversion. The day I spent in most boredom in my life was my last birthday.

The sky was blue the air was crisp and the sun was shinning gloriously children headed for parks and gardens and left me alone WAITING for my bus at the bus stop. The sounds of honking horns, sirens and drivers yelling at each other were cacophony to my ears.

These agonizing and excruciating moments finally ended when my van arrived. WAITING for the school to come was yet another grueling task.

The bus screeched to a stop throwing us forward in our seats, every one stood up from their seats and squeezed down the aisle. There was nothing extraordinarily boring about school but what really bugged me was the line at the school cafeteria that took forever to move.

The intoxicating incense of freshly made grilled cheese burgers struck my nostrils as I entered the school canteen. A huge blue sign stood right next to me that said “SERVING SPECIAL TODAY: GRILLED CHEESE BURGERS”

My mouth started watering and so did my eyes after looking at the huge line. The chronic moment of apathy and boredom ended as the bell rang. Getting my hands on the cheese stuffed bread, grilled till golden brown and served with hot sauce was my next target.

I ACCIDENTLY stared down at my watch and realized that I was 25 minutes late for history class. I knocked the class door my teacher turned back. Unexpectedly her normally calm and pleasant demeanor changed, her eyes gave me an obsidian gaze. She walked tome handing me a sheet of paper with detention written in big red letters.

To me detention is just prison without free food and the worst part about is that you have to wait for it to end. The blank expression on the teacher’s face really creeped me out. Staring at the clock tick tocking at the slowest possible rate and looking at the absent and vacant eyes staring at me was really impossible to do.

The bell rang I ran as fast as I could and got on my van. The hard and cold plastic seat of my van really hurt but was way better than the blue painted uncomfortable blue painted seat at detention.

The thought that all the waiting was finally over made me want to jump out of my seat but I spoke too early in a matter of seconds our van broke down in the middle of the road.

Once again I had to WAIT for the moment to end……………..and please don’t even ask about the rest when I went home no one remembered my birthday, my best friend decided to move to Switzerland, my sister failed in her math exam because of which she cried all night…………….and the list continues…………..the next day was even worse……………….I will right about it some other time………………………..
