*Sophie's POV*
I'm going back to my apartment at college again tonight feeling really down and unhappy. I feel so trapped in this world and I hate it. I hate being in an institution like this. Homework, tests, and projects just really aren't my thing. It takes so much work for me just to get by in school. Thankfully it will be over in less than a year.
This has been just another boring day in the life of a college girl. I went to class, and now I am walking back to my apartment so I can make dinner and do homework. This has been my life for the past three years, and while there have been some really good times with the amazing friends that I have made here, most days are just like today.
I can't wait for graduation. I'm so ready to get on with my life and not be in school anymore. I have been in school since I was four. I'm done. No more school for this girl, at least not for a while. I have too many issues for me to be in school. I have bouts of depression and I also have performance and testing anxiety. These two things really make school and music difficult. Music has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember, but the anxiety makes it so I never really perform in front of people on my own.
My roommates greet me as I walk in the door, and Olivia asks me what I would like for dinner. As we prepare our meal, we talk about our little trip to the Hunter Hayes concert on Saturday. We are leaving on Friday and driving to Omaha. My sister, Kassidy, lives there, and was gracious enought to let us stay in her house while we are there. At least we don't have to rent a hotel room. We decide that we want to leave right after classes on Friday so that way we can go out and party on Friday night. We will leave no later than 2:30pm and we will be there by 7pm; even with a stop at Sonic in Des Moines on the way for a quick snack. With plans and schedules aligned for the next day, I begin to feel even more excited about this trip.
We finish out the day, and I go to bed early knowing that I have to drive the four hours to Omaha tomorrow. I want to be well rested.
* Kassidy's POV*
Sophie and Olivia are coming tomorrow. This means that I have to clean my house, but I don't mind all that much. I love when my little sister comes to visit me. Sophie is smart, talented, pretty, and a little crazy. We always have so much fun when she comes. We could be just chilling at the house eating pizza and watching TV like we used to when she came to stay with me while she was skating, and we would be laughing and talking like we were best friends and not sisters. Definitely not sisters that are 12 years apart. As she has grown up, she has become not just my sister, but one of my best friends, too.
Her best friend, Olivia, has been really good for her. She brought Sophie out of her shell and made her more outgoing. The two girls look like they have a lot of fun when they are at school. They go to events and just have genuine fun in their apartment on a normal basis. I can't wait to see what is going to go down when I have these two girls at my house for two days.
